I dunno how an author's own characters can be this OOC with his own work this indeed sounds like a fanfic of a 13 y/o self inserter.

I've ranted about this in the pairing sticky, but speaking as an ST fan who's friends with a bunch of other ST shippers... While they were all really happy and freaking out about this, honestly my first thought was that I was getting mad at this idea that of all things that could be explored about Gaara's character, it HAD to be about him being potentially married to some random chick. Ugh.

Whatever if the ST wedding is written well, then I'll take it.
