For one its a technique where you get a tremendous speed increase and sanji who specializes in CoO wouldn't have kuros drabacks

Plus sanji wants to be invisble so bad and this one way to do it

They are of equal speed except soru and silent walk can both be used in short burst while silent walk takes it a step furthure and makes it a constant motion in exchange for your bearings

Soru is a technique Oda should have given to Sanji over the timeskip. He already had knowledge of it from the CP9 and 2 years to train. Luffy learnt it in 2seconds. For a leg specialist such as himself, i find it weird Oda didn't give it to him

Soru is just the Rokushiki name for it, but it's the technique where you kick your feet so fast on the ground multiple times in order to make you move faster.

That is exactly what he has now, along with skywalk (which is geppou). Nico Robin even commented on it during FI arc. That is the cp9 technique !

Manga page? I already know how soru works, but i don't remember Sanji ever doing this. All i've seen him use is sky/blue walk, something as you said is a variant of geppou, nothing else. And it's what Robin emphasized

No thats why its superior, think about how pathetic kuro was but he is still one of the fastest people we have seen so far. With observation haki silent step becomes the next step of suro because soure is ONLY short burst and silent step is constant movement. And even if you lose your bearings observation haki keeps you away and in control. Plus you become invisble long term unlike suro which is like teleportation silent step is like fading in and out as you please. It makes no noise something suro cant as well.
