Nagato actually had a plan totally different from Infinite Tsukuyomi. In the end, Tobi and Nagato were just using each other. Eventually, one would've betrayed the other.

Madara never has the feels? The whole reason he turned out the way he is is because he can't handle the feels. He is not mentally strong he is just so warped by his crazed mentality that instead of breaking down and crying he focuses it
on manipulating people. I believe characters like naruto and itachi have much more powerful minds. Madara was still prone to get tnj'd and he was not much different than the people he manipulated. Characters like might Gai or naruto have much higher will power.

umm lol. Madara lost 4 brothers. His whole freaking clan started to turn their back on him and go to hashirama's side all because they're tired of losing. When Madara warn them that the village can't be trusted, the clan completely turned their back on him and said that he just a war dog hungry for battle. At this point, Madara got no reason to live at all. You worked your life to protect your clan, then ended up being labeled as a war dog all because you know that tobirama gonna ensure the destruction of your clan.

To top it off, Madara's brother clearly told him them senji clan can't be trusted no matter what! a hundred year later.....The uchiha clan is gone all due to the 2nd hokage's decision.

But really, if my clan turned their back on me, I would've just left and live the rest of my life in the mountain as a wandering monk. No point in fighting for peace, when you don't have a home to return to.

Obito Didn't care about Nagato at all. He was doing two things which Obito Wanted.

1) Keep Madara's Rinnegan Safe.

2) Collect all the Bijuus for the Juubi's revival.

In the end, just like how Obito didn't consider Madara his ally, Obito didn't consider Nagato a friend either. Nagato was a tool, Madara was a dead weight and a potential threat.
