Today i was curious about the movie, and decided to look up peoples reception of the movie, and needless to say, It was very mixed, i dare say even moreso bad...

In my honest opinion, the movie is generally a good movie. Some parts were wonky, but i liked the story, characters, ect... overall. The movie made me cry, and not many movies can touch me on such a level. I like most of you have grew up with Naruto.

I know some of you haven't sen the movie yet and are waiting for it to be released online, but if you read this and feel like you know enough to speak on the subject, be my guest.

Basically, tell me what you thought of the movie? What do you think it's done for the franchise? What do you think of the characters after the movie?

Do you think the movie was or is promoting false advertising? stuff along these lines.

I thought it was a good movie too in Naruto standards. Some of the scenes were like you said wonky, but they made up for that with the comedy bits here and there. There were some great Naruto and Hinata moments that made you smile, the fighting was awesome, Sasuke's scene was badass, and Naruto vs. Toneri was overall moderate. Nothing too big, but the ending scene involving Naruto's family put the movie at full circle.

The movie had too much Hinata in it.
I will rate it a 2/10 only because of Lord Sasuke(30 seconds of awesome) and Queen Sakura.

I asked people about the movie after I saw it too.

What's interesting that I found is that those who "grew up" on Naruto, and by that I mean grew up on Naruto being their show of childhood story of choice as much as I and people like me loved Dragonball (no Z), tended to have the warmer perceptions of the movie. But the ones that didn't grow up on Naruto as their main story tend to feel it was ok but somewhat lackluster.

Probably because this movie serves as an unofficial ending for the Naruto story, for those who would say Naruto is their favorite manga due to growing up on it, they reflect their feelings of the entire story with their response, that it was a touching, sentimental movie story that they truly enjoyed. For those that would pick a different Manga, the comparison is drawn and thus the "Last" Naruto movie doesn't feel as fulfilling as the last part of their favorite manga, so it's a little more disappointing.

I personally liked the last, just as I liked the entire series. Didn't make me feel like some of the DBZ movies used to as a kid, but that's ok. I can tell myself that it wasn't that great or that I've seen better, but I watch any and everything Naruto that get puts out, and I'm glad to know what happens in this movie

Best Naruto movie in the series thus far, here's to hoping that they continue that trend going into the Boruto movie

I've watched Naruto when I was a kid and to me I've cherished it when Naruto was the shit back in the day but seeing how much a trainwreck this series become just literally shove down to my throat and it's sad how this one final arc destroyed the foundation of this series... It has nothing to do whether it can be our childhood or not can affect your Objective views toward this series NOW as such for Naruto the Last, the movie was terrible overall. This Romance was dreadful.

NaruHina was resolved in the war and they should able to developed together before the Last happen but why the hell are we still seeing Naruto being stupid that he still couldn't realize How Hinata loves him and Why is Hinata still being shy Girl???? Instead Kishi litereally brush it off, Naruto and Hinata are reverting back track their devlopemnent and we literally have to deal for almost the enitriety of this film as to how they FINALLY managed to get in Love.

This further proves that Neji death was a total waste only to die by the hand of pairing fan service even Hinata doesn't do any significant role in the move, all she's good for is Naruto centric, she didn't even fight with Toneri and Naruto ALWAYS gets his ass handed to him... It's pathetic and it complete disgust me. NH makes sense and I think it had potential, but it was horribly executed.

Not that I don't care about these characters or else why would I be disappointed when I put my expectation to these characters...

Nah, I read most movie rating sites and tumblr and the reception of the movie was mixed to positive. Only "certain fans" hated it who are now making their edition of the movie, replacing Hinata with Sakura.

Also, most movie rating sites gave much better ratings than Road To Ninja, and the only site where it has worse rating is JY, but on that site tons of crappy movies has excellent ratings whiches are moslty rated down.

To me, the movie was better than The Lost Tower, Blood Prison, Road To Ninja, Guardians Of The Crescent Moon Kingdom and Legend Of The Stone Of Gelel, but it was worse than Will Of Fire or Ninja Clash In The Land Of Snow.

About financial succes:
1.Costed 400-500 million yen (including advertisings)
2.Earned 1.94 billion yen in japan.
3.Earned 550,000 USD in the US on it's 3-4 weeks running while Princess Kaguya, a Ghibli movie, had a little more from it's 20-21 weeks running, meaning The Last earned almost as much with 3-4 weeks than Ghibli's Kaguya on it's 20-21 weeks running.
4.In both Australia and South Korea it has surpassed DBZ Battle Of Gods box offices.
5.The movie will go to Singapore, France, Philippenes and Mexico while it is running in Indonesia.

My thoughts? Well:

+ Awsome OST
+ Nice visuality
+ Oldschool shonen fight scenes (hand-to-hand fights instead of spamming magic)
+ Otsutsuki story where not only Hamura, but Rikudo and his two sons also appear (Ashura and Indra)
+ Finally some funny jokes whiches are truly funny and not want us making laughing on stupid faces only
+ Sasuke being badass and unlike RTN he DO SOMETHING IMPORTANT (saves Konoha and brings back Hiashi with vital information)
+ The Five Kages saving their villages
+ Finally a villain who is not evil because someone was killed

- Rest of Konoha 11 have only either litle role or just being there
- Toneri looks like a white-haired Sasori
- Romance movie, which is suicide in shonen fight mangas (thought Kishimoto already did it when created the HInata->Naruto->Sakura->Sasuke love square crap) and 100% that certain people will hate the movie blindly

Overral, it's a solid 6.5/10 to me. Here's a list how I see Naruto movies:

8/10 = Will Of Fire
7.5/10 = Ninja Clash In The Land Of Snow
6.5/10 = Bonds
6.5/10 = The Last
6/10 = First Shippuden Movie
5.5/10 = Legend Of The Stone Of Gelel
5/10 = Road To Ninja
4/10 = Guardians Of The Crescent Moon Kingdom
2.5/10 = Blood Prison
1.5/10 = The Lost Tower

It worths a watch, but if you are a shippinger you won't be able to enjoy the movie objectively.
