You don't get the concept of being a good character. For example, Sakura is a good hearted character, but she is a bad character. It isn't that she is evil, but poorly written.

Danzo is a good character, he is written well. And he isn't evil either, he is your classic greater good type of guy which we are used to see in most CIA/Military movies.
