I hate Kishi for his poor treatment of Anko all throughout the series. She had good potential and could have been a good jōnin (possibly even low kage level if she could use her curse mark) to use in VS debates but all we got is Shadow Snake Hands and that double snake suicide jutsu. Then she goes missing for 400 chapters. Then she suddenly reappears, only to get baited by Kabuto and knocked out for the war. Then she was used as a means for reviving Orochimaru. Then Kishi made her fat for no apparent reason at all.

I could say the same for pretty much every side character. Not saying that she should be a very high shinobi, but just two techs and having that kind of screentime?
