[Question] momonosuke doffy realtionship

He was stated to be equally as desirable as both ceasar and the smile factory BEFORE THE DEVIL FRUIT
Doffy doesn't know about momos fruit or care he just wants momonosuke for another reason. If it was for the df then why did doffy attack the three samuria ? We have seen that pirates can dock on shore as they please as long as they dont fight. And kinemon and kanjour were just docking while they were going to zoa anyways

So the real question is why does doffy want momo so bad

I've had a theory for a while that Monkey D. Dragon ate Uranus which was a Devil Fruit: The Shenlong/Azure Dragon fruit.

Vegapunks attempts at making dragons on Punk Hazard and logging different strengths and weaknesses of Devil Fruits, how they work and his attempts at making artificial devil fruits were all attempts to recreate Uranus - as employed by the World Government.

He produces clouds, something that aids Doffy's devil fruit powers.

He's also aware of momo eating the fruit he needs, he watched the snail video on "ceasar's demonstration."
Which ended in luffy beating Cesar to a pulp.

I like the theory that Momo is either the shogun or the future shogun of Wano, a territory that Kaido desires and Doffy wants to use him as leverage to remain on Kaido's good side. There's a thread here someone that explains it in broad terms.

Doffy doesnt know momo has a devil fruit through. Ceasars subordinates were suprised by vegapunks fruit being gone meaning they expected it to be there. It would be different if doffy knew about that because ceasar only learns about whats going on based on subordinates. He doesn't make rounnds and check the facilities. So if ceasars foot soildsrs don't know that then ceasar doesnt know. And if ceasar doesn't know then doffy doesn't know.

Plus if he wanted momo for the fruit then that only raises more questions. Why was doffy attacking and capturing momo's allies BEFORE they had gotten to PH ans before they had momo eat that fruit? Why wouldn't ceasar just five doffy the fruit from the get go once he gort on the island? Why wasnt anyone looking for momo before the devil fruit?
