I just finished watching last 8 episodes of Akame ga kill and you know what I feel like shit. Seriously??? They just had to kill every single character, WTF is that?? Killing Mine was already too much.

All of them had dreams and hopes and yet almost all of them died miserably. Only one dream of theirs came true, new kingdom, but what about the rest of their dreams?
Lubbock could not confess to Najenda.
Mine could not live happily with Tatsuma.
Leone, she did not seem to have big dreams but by the ending you could see that she wanted to return to her old friends.
Tatsumi - main character could not keep his promise, could not return to his village.

Throughout the series, all the characters share their dreams and make viewer really compassionate about them, however now that series have finished there are so many unaccomplished dreams and hopes, which make me really sad.

I feel like Mine and Tatsumi should have lived.
Well the name of the show is "Akame Ga Kill" we should've seen this coming.

Personally, if I were in place of Akame in the end, I would probably have led those who would attack me to kill me, since she does not seem to have any purpose in life anymore, all her friends died which a really heavy burden to carry.

Of all the characters, it would have made sense if Najenda and Akame died but those two stayed alive. The rest were so full of life and ambitious.

Leone had a gun wound for the longest time, why did she not go to get treated? And then she died in an alley with nobody to see. It was so sad. I understand that she didn't wanna burden anyone but she could have got treated easily...

You're right, at the very least Tatsumi should have lived, so that he could end up with Akame. Even smallest happy moment would be good.

I think loss of almost all friends was too big of a burden for Leone, and she just did not want to live with it.

If you wanted a better experience with AgK, the manga would've been the way to go. But, it doesn't really matter, since the manga is going the same direction as the anime and is slowly getting worse.

They are assassins

You must be registered for see images

they were no better than the rest of the characters, they can't all be Naruto's.

Although, the anime is not good, you should read the manga is awesome.

the manga's nothing special, its just a naruto-ish theme made to look like awesome shit by killing off characters and raping little girls. the actual story itself is so ****ing simple.

the first 20or so chapters were actually awesome. then it became very shitty very very quickly.

Atleast he helps a guy bring candy to his gf's grave.

OT: Really? The anime left an impact on you? o_O To me it was just plain boring. Everything after Chelsea death was corny and predictable. The only good episodes were the Kurome one and the one in wich Tatsumi died. Mine and Susanoo deaths were laughable. Same with Budou. The manga is better by a long shot, altough it also got bad with the last few chapters.

Here, found the rant I've posted on the other site:

Well, the anime took away everything that made his character interesting to me, so I don't really care for his anime incarnation (with the exception of his voice, I love his voice).

And what the heck was he wearing in the last episode? I swear he and Wave got lost on their way to a LARP party.

(Responding to a person who wanted me to elaborate)

I mostly referred to everything Ran goes through during the Wild Hunt arc. It showed a lot of his personality, both his twisted side when he tortured Champ (and the fact that he was so obsessed with revenge in the first place, just how far he went to get it) and his selfless side as he protected Kurome (he literally shielded her with his body from Champ's explosion). His death (well, undeath) was symbolic in a way since he was killed by Kurome - a child messed up by the Empire - and his main goal was to change the Empire and he did it for the children. His very existence was doomed because he was pursuing the impossible goal. His death was tragic, and I love tragedy. Not to mention that moment when he stands up and fights/flies after being fatally injured, driven by his controversial resolve (both the desires for revenge and to protect Kurome). Really, him standing up to use Divine Wings must be my favorite moment. While reading that for the first time, I was like, "Wow... This guy sure is tougher than he looks". That said, I never thought him being so revenge-obsessed to be a good thing since no person, even Champ, deserves a brutal torture like that. Ran himself referred to it as he was dying. However, I like it when characters are flawed, controversial, have a dark side to their personality, are mentally disturbed (I'm pretty sure Ran was quite traumatized by seeing those kids slaughtered) and do questionable things. It's what makes them interesting, and this is why I love Ran so much.

In the anime he just stands there most of the time, then has a short fight scene where with some exposition clumsily thrown in. Why was he there at all, again? So yeah... Not that I had any hopes since we knew in advance that there'd be no WH arc in the anime.

So, well, not that I was furious, but kind of frustrated.

I saw that. Didn't you post it in the FC when it was still alive?

I hate that they cut out Wild Hunt. They took away a huge source of Ran's motivation, a huge source of Wave's motivation to change the Empire, and by taking out Wild Hunt they also took out Izou, meaning Lubbock had to die by a bunch of nameless fodder.

I don't think I reposted it in the FC, this one's from the Wiki. Though I might have posted something similar there as well.

lol I actually think I bumped into you on a site about AgK once. Idk if it was you but there was someone who used the same Fu avatar like you did and was commenting on Ran. Was it you?

Yes, it was. I'm an admin on the AgK wiki, though I don't edit as much as I used to. I think I have some more Ran-related walls there.

Lol Admin? Nice. Although the wiki looks kinda bad to me. :/

Trust me, it used to be worse  Besides, the visuals aren't up to me ("admin" isn't the highest user rank there). I've rewrote and reorganized a lot of stuff there, but I don't have the time to be very active, neither can I write well enough to complete the long articles.

Among things I've done there were countless grammar/style fixes, articles for minor characters, digging up proper Japanese names for things, discussing organization stuff with other admins etc.
