Why did kishi nerf him? Naruto could've easily wrecked numerous opponents with one punch. Frog Kata especially combined with his Rikudou Sage Mode/Kurama Chakra Mode is insanely lethal, add Kokuo KKG(Steam Release) and it becomes haxxed. Despite the ability to wreck anyone in CQC with one hitter quitters kishi nerfed him hard.

Almost every fight in Naruto the characters engage in CQC, thats a fact.

Doesn't mean it's gonna work the way one intends for it to. For example, Naruto tries to rush Sasuke in RSM and Sasuke uses the precognition on his Rinnegan or EMS, and Sasuke uses Amenetojikara to teleport a safe distance away from Naruto. Naruto may be incredibly well-rounded in terms of CQC capability and damage output, but Sasuke has means to escape quickly. And this is just one example of what could happen. When you start getting into higher tiers of characters like Obito and Madara, CQC really won't matter much when one either has ways of getting out of range, zoning the opponent via the use of techniques or even simply defending against it with sufficiently powered techniques such as Susano'o.
