[Theory] Reasons For the Hunter x Hunter Hiatus

After healing from his back pain..Could it be that Togashi is researching more for the series or improving his Art in the Manga ?

1. Addicted to Dragon Quest, and with all these games coming out yearly, he only gets more soaked up.
2. He refuses to get assistants, even though they could help him greatly.
3. His back might still hurt
4. Togashi has given up.

5. He better come back and i hope it was cause of research cause that manga is a masterpiece.

Togashi had already proved to us that he's a talented artist, I don't think he has to "improve" on his art. It just needs consistency. As for the research reason, that's very plausible seeing how many sub-plots he's handling at once. Not only that but plan ahead and I'm sure he has an idea of how to end off HxH.

I don't think he's had a full recovery yet, although someone told me that he did in another thread. I'll just wait till he gives me a link showing that he did. >.> I'm certain that we will get at least a chapter this year because we always get at least one-two chapters a years xD

@#2 - He refuses to get any editors or anything. He doesn't want to be told what to do. He does what he wants, and, well, look at his stories. They're amazing. But still, he is pretty lazy and has a bad back. lol

Hopefully soon. Last year of April, he announced that he will make a return. I hope it happens this month.

Honestly, I think the best solution is to make his manga a monthly series.

I guess he likes to be independent and write/draw his own manga. He might be a perfectionist, so someone else drawing his stuff would piss him off. Idk. lol

What I received as facts were a bunch of rumors. I heard that he actually recovered and went to review a manga, but him reviewing that manga was back in late 2013/early 2014. So basically we don't know what he's doing right now.

For a back surgery, the time of recovery differentiate between each people and their health, lifestyle, etc... Considering Togashi's long term illness and his age, it would take at the least 6 months to a year to recover. So I think he's still recovering and thinking/researching.
