[Discussion] One of the Characters that i felt really sorry for....

Fate/Zero Matou Kariya

He was the most kind of all the masters
He took part in the War of the Holy War to bring the two sisters Rin and Sakura together who were seperated by Tokiomi Tohsaka Rins father
Kariya even lets his body controlled by insects to rescue Sakura

So and here is the thing Tokiomi Tohsaka Rins father just seperated them so each of them could get the secrets for magic so its understandable that Kariya hates him because he do not really feel for his children or his wife
Later kariya gets burned down by Tokiomi but saved by Kirei only to be fooled by Kirei in letting Tokiomis wife think that he killed Kirei
Tokiomis wife calls Kariya a monster but come on Tokiomi was the monster

Later when Kariya arrives to save Sakura he falls down into insects an gets eaten and Sakuras words to her uncle : He was an idiot
Come on he tried to save her
After all suffering he went through she just says all his doing was a waste i still dont know Fate/Stay Night what happens with sakura but i hope she dies

Damm..i really hate Sakura for that also this family is so blind Tokiomi and Zouken were the evil guys
Matou Kariya i feel sorry and in hope Sakura gets a worse death

He was one of the most when i see people like Kayneth and Ryunosuke its so obvious Kirei is also villain but cool and well emiya can be coldhearted too when i thought about Lancers death i am angry at Emiya too Tokiomi also coldhearted which makes him somehow cool the only master nicer than him is Riders

He was already ****ed up and ok maybe yeah its his fault but still the fact that Tokiomi Tohsaka do not care for his family is true tokiomi admitted that himself and Kirei fooled Kariya so its not like his complete fault Kireis goal was to let people believe that Kariya is the murderer
Tokiomis wife is blind she is not aware that Tokiomi is evil i like Tokiomi but he is still evil in my eyes I also was angry at their mother
Ok Kariya is not my favorite at all but still it was hard how he ended
And even if he was a bit foolish he deserves respect without magic talent to face this war deserves respect

I hold most sympathy for Lancer i love honor a lot .....Damm Kiritsugu

But anyway Ok i dont know her story but still Kariya is not someone that deserves that he was a nice guy at the beginning and turned into that
He was the easiest to fool and thats why that happened but still Sakura was the main reason and she just acts like this was waste and XD Matou Kariya is forgotten and he was a nice guy at the beginning
Thats a bad end in my opinion

Sakura thought Kariya's death was one of her grandfather's - Zouken - lessons that she shouldn't disobey him. The fact that she actually stayed back and watch his corpse be devoured by worms should tell you that she had feelings for him. Does not mean that she can express them though considering that Sakura's mentality at the time was to become like a living doll so she would stop crying and screaming.

As for who deserves the most sympathy in the whole Fate series, it's probably Shirou or Sakura.
