Shows how bad these pairings are when, instead of enjoying them like normal people do and going about their business, pairingtards spend their day nitpicking interviews and twisting them to their perspective to "prove" that the pairing they ship is better than another.
Even better are the pairingtards whose ships didn't become canon in the end. Fake interviews, harassing assistants, defacing the thank you page and on and on. It's like a collage of patheticness, and yet we're all drawn to watching the mayhem go down. Kind of like looking at a horrible car crash, you just can't help it.

Cmon fan backlash about an ending aint anything new.Happened in fictional works like Sherlock Holmes,DBZ etc

Not surprising at all this thread reached almost 20 pages. It's been always like this when it came to the pairings issues. Funnily enough, this fuss was made upon unconfirmed infos.

I still havent found Kishimoto's interview yet but I found this
Found the correct interview but its nothing much

Interviewer: “The anime is still going on - but in the original manga, the trio’s love triangle came to a definite end with the couples of Naruto and Hinata and Sasuke and Sakura. Were you all expecting this development?”
Takeuchi: "Yes. ……..well, I say that - but the truth is that in the past, during a meeting, I once asked Kishimoto-sensei about this conclusion."
Nakamura: "It was at the very beginning of the anime broadcast - around the second time we were meeting him, right?"

Cmon fan backlash about an ending aint anything new.Happened in fictional works like Sherlock Holmes,DBZ etc

Lol backlash about how bad the last third of the manga was and how badly it was rushed is one thing, but this whining and stamping of feet about an aspect of the story that the author has admitted over and over again he had no interest in outside of teases is hilarious.
Can't for the life of me understand why certain fans insist Kishimoto cares about the pairing subject. He doesnt. He had no interest in drawing it but did on account of editorial imposition.
He wasn't interested in writing the romance stories about either of the main ships until fan and editorial pressure forced him into it. Hell, he still hasn't really touched on any of them outside of editing the script of one movie.

Kishimoto hasn't touched ANY of the resolutions to these pairing plots outside of throwing SP a couple of ideas. The novel writer is doing the legwork for him. Kishimoto managed to sell out his story to the pairingtards and not put any of the work in. That's talent right there.

You dont get it.He teased 3 different pairings many times in the series to the point they got significant enough to be mentioned in VA discussions and interviews.On the basis of those teases it provided the studio and the novel authors the foundation on which they could explain the pairings.
And developing these pairings espeically NH is not a hard job to do with a slew of directors specialising in romance at your disposal.The hard part is doing these ship teases in such a manner that you use red herrings and a part of the audience is misleaded
Hence the remaining one pairing which is non canon has this backlash for being called a red herring whereas the canon ones are arguing which of the ship is better.
Had he NOT focused on em completely at all and then asked the studio to do the movie it would flop hard
Imagine would you watch a pairing movie on how Bulma and Vegeta got together or Goku and ChiChi?NO!! because there was zero romance there and as a consequence no pairing backlash whatsoever

People are whining because this subplot went on for 15 years now.You cant just drop your attachment to something like that in 6 months.

Also ONLY the pairing part is translated again because of 2 things

1)NS wants ammuniton that this was a farce and not planned
2)NH and SS want ammo that which of them rode on the coat tails of the other

The reason for him having his page defaced and this much commotion of the ship wars is the editor and him jointly.He should have taken a leaf out of Toriyama and Oda's books (who ironically are more popular than Naruto) and not done those shop teases ignoring his editor

The mini series part is not likely to grab headlines hence its getting sidetracked

The VA's opinons are so irrelevant. They probably don't even read the manga. All their BS, retard spewing is based on the Naruto, the show.. If anything the VA's sullied the SasuSaku pairing even more, by trying themselves, subconsciously, to justify the messed up pairing that is so loved and adored by people who automatically ship main characters together.
