Stepping onto the training field, i simply look at my student which was now right before me. I look at him carefully while keeping an emotionless face. It seemed like like everyone else he wanted to know more about the path of a ninja, he wanted to become a true shinobi. Smiling about being able to see this person grow, I continue what I wanted to say.

Greetings, I am Uzumaki Nikodo and seems like I will be your teacher for water. So I wanted to know something...What is your name? Why do you want to learn water? And what is your goal as a Shinobi?

Watashi, the young lad who would easily be known as a show off. He smiles cocky, "ahem, I gonna be like the you, teaching people for free and helping those in need. I water to learn water release so I can teach others and have my very own water to drink * Laughing loudly*...and for why life wish is to become like the sage of six paths--spreading his teachings" Watashi posing bravely and awaiting his masters next reply.

Ohhh...I said in surprise. It was a unique reply, not heard before but I was surprisingly satisfied with this answer. Spreading knowledge in the world, is not a bad objective. So after listening, I decide to use one unique style of training with this student. One given to me by my current earth teacher. But before that, we have to test...how much he knows already.

Alright, before we begin with the techniques themself, I want you to tell me. What is water release? What are Nature and shape manipulation and the last one. The differences with streams and projectiles. Once you are done we can proceed. Don't worry because I will give my insights about this matter later anyway.

With all honest say, nothing. I understand that it's liquid and tangible, everything that IRL science has told me. So nothing from the naruto world (except movies/episodes). T_T

Alright. It is fine. So let us begin. Water release is one of the basic 5 nature manipulations in the shinobi world. Water unlike any other element is if you ask me, the calmest. You can clearly see this as you manipulate water. It is the easiest element to manipulate, as it has a very calm nature, it is free flowing and relaxed. Water release is all about manipulating water from preexisting sources like, rivers or lakes, or create your very own water. A true master is able to create entire lakes on his own to then be able to use this water perfectly in his advantage. Water can be created by manipulating your chakra in a way that it will mimic water as closely as possible. You release your raw chakra and then imagine the way water behaves. This about the very nature of water, the very existence. And you will be able to mimic this effect, creating water release itself.

The relation water has with other elements is tricky.

• Water is strong against fire, it is strong against the rawest most powerful element. Because it is a fairly natural property of it. It can put the flames down. The rule of thumb on this one is, A rank water is stronger than A rank fire. It is actually at the same level as S rank fire.

• Water is weak to earth, and that is because the very nature of earth, will not water go through it. It will not let water penetrate through the surface of it. But the description is also key. So don't forget you need not only to rely on numbers, but even how it is executed. Rule of thumb is...A rank earth is stronger than A rank water. An A rank earth jutsu is on the same level as a S rank water technique.

• Water is equal to wind. Though if used smartly in combos, you can use wind to make water a lot faster than it is naturally. So they really shine in combos, don't forget. Rule of thumb, A rank water = A rank Wind.

• Lightning and water have a very unique relation. Clashing head on, water is actually equal to lightning, but used together in combos a lightning will get stronger since it will flow better if a body is already wet, and it will do a lot more damage. Rule of thumb on this one is A rank water = A rank lightning.

Alright, as for shape and nature manipulation we have to say.

Shape manipulation is when you give shape to the chakra you release. Think about it. As you release chakra, you will try and create an image in your head, like a sphere...Then slowly you will fill that shape with chakra. But this sphere will even have a certain effect in chakra, it could be rotating, standing firm, solid ect....The sky is the limit. You can shape the chakra into anything you want even very specific shapes giving you a great weapon.

Nature manipulation is the filling half of shape manipulation giving you the chance to change the raw chakra into something else of either the basic 5 elements. When you do this, you will simply think of the element, and change your chakra according to that. For fire, you think of it as a super hot burning mass. For lightning you vibrate your chakra creating sparks, and for wind in this case, you make your chakra light, fast and free flowing, water would be something similar to water, calm, free, wet ect ect...I hope you understand.

As for projectiles and Streams, I will use one of my friends work, but since he is so well at them...I don't need to reword them myself. I will just give you the scroll of information.

Naruto. said:
Projectiles: Projectiles are objects which are propelled into the air. For eg: shurikens, kunais, etc. These are thrown towards the opponent. Now, projectiles move in a certain fixed direction, unless their direction is externally changed by blowing wind, water, etc. With projectiles the user gathers all their chakra into one central focus point and releases the chakra all in one burst or divided in several bursts, meaning the chakra is concentrated at one single point and thus the area of damage is short compared to streams, however due to the concentration being large, one single point when hit by a projectile faces massive damage.

Streams: A stream is a constant and well defined flow of an any material. For eg: a stream of wind. Here, you gather chakra, and then simply release it in a steady flow outwards toward your target and you maintain that steady flow until the chakra you've built up for the technique is no longer there. This means that streams have their power spread out evenly throughout the technique as opposed to several individualized burst of chakra that have their own capabilities, meaning you have to constantly focus on your chakra, however, you're free to alter the direction of your attack, since you still maintain the control over it until the amount of chakra that is built up gets exhausted.
Any questions before we can continue.

Saying that i take a deep breath looking at my student waiting for him to reply.

The techniques themselves now. Lets begin my student!! My method is simple, just perform the technique with maximum detail and answer to any of my questions if I have any. Ready? Go!!!

(Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.
Note: Doesn't require a water source but can be used to manipulate existing water.
Calm your body and mind, and chakra chakra inside your body just like with any other jutsu. The chakra needs to be low as of now, and go close to the water source when you are done collecting. Now, close your eyes and extend your hand, let the chakra flow from your hand, and towards the water. Start thinking about the idea of water itself, the element and it's powers. Start affecting the water with your chakra and create small waves, by moving it forward and back....Then slowly lift the water into the air, and with the shape manipulation create some shapes. Fairly easy.

Watashi, got up and heads toward the river as he gets close enough he sits down and lays his hands out. Streaming of his chakra calms his very core and slowly flows though his pores smoothly as the river. In concentration the world is clam and relaxing, the ground is connected to his body like no other. The wind flickers his body hair and the sun's warmth is so natural like laying in a warm bed. He extends his hand onto the water flowing rapidly, he feels the change is path throughout the water. Then as he moved his hand so did the water, as it mimicked; he stands slowly pulling the hand upward sooner than he thought the water makes a ball of itself from the detachment. Watashi relaxes once more as he breaths out, he thinks of a squre, in return the water takes form. "Water swallow up the earth, extinguishes the flame, ascends on high, and by stretching forth as clouds challenges the heavens for their own, and the same falling down, becomes the cause of all things that grow in the earth" she recalls a reading.

Performance was very well, I like the detail and feel you put into it. And you know how I said i will follow a unique way of training you?I shall keep that promise. Since water is long, I will use my teachers way of teaching you everything. I will post 3 techniques here and explain them with greatest detail. What I want you to do, is rate them depending on how you know the technique. You will rate them based on how much you like the technique not only though power, but description, seals, usefulness, versatility ect...

So let me ask you myself, would you prefer this method? Or do you want the traditional one?

Alright, let us continue. Performing the technique won't really be necessary. What is important is learning how to use it, and where to use it. In battle then you can fill it up with your RP talent.

(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidding in Mist Jutsu
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.

A very nice technique and used to be a personal favorite. With this technique, you will use water around you or use your mouth, to create a thick mist which will cover the entire battlefield. You will release it from your mouth naturally as mist, or use a water source like a lake or a river and evaporate it, creating mist. This mist is very special, and it it because it is made out of your own chakra. This means that you can fool the sharingan completely as well as the rinnegan. Since it can see different chakra types, the hole battlefield will be colored the same and you can easily vanish through it. Though it can fool those 2 doujutsu, you can't fool the byakugan, so be aware of your enemy. The last thing is that this technique can easily blown away using any kind of wind technique, so take that into consideration.

(Suiton: Mizu Kuri No Yaiba) - Water Style: Sword of Draining
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: A technique that utilizes water to create a sword. The sword can be wielded in the normal fashion, allowing the ninja to cut and stab like with a normal blade.
Note: Doesn't require a water source.

This technique is not really unique in on itself, but you could find some usages for it. You will use the water you create to form a sword...nothing much to it. This sword is not tough enough to battle with real swords, but it is very versatile, since you can create it everywhere. It even helps you fairly much whenever you need a weapon ready.

(Suiton: Junsai no Jutsu) - Water Release: Water Shield Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary, Defense
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their water chakra and releasing it from their arm which is held outwards in front of them and they then create a shield of water that can aide in defense against projectile weapons and close combat techniques.

Alright, this is a purely defensive technique. You will release the chakra from the arms and shape a water shield right before you. This shield is tough enough to stop projectiles because of it's density. But you can even use it to stop op to C rank fire techniques. Best thing is that it is very very quick.

So, just rate them and tell me why did you rate them in that way and we can continue.

[✯] Name compliments jutsu.
[✯✯] +The type is ideal with range.
[✯✯✯] +Is situational, but workable to use.
[✯✯✯✯] +Isn't Situational, but missing one or more of the other ✯star qualities.
[✯✯✯✯✯] +Easily noticeable as a overused jutsu.

✯✯✯✯✯(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidding in Mist Jutsu
This has the ability to cover the area with your chakra, if seems that you can probably to also fool the sensor's ability? Not only has it the cover up, it also can turn rain a wave of chakra cover. I see this jutsu as the opportunity to escape and also to given field advantage against the sharingan. Using this in battle would be to turn the tables so I could either run or gain ground. While using fire style and this jutsu the user could make incoming distractions that leave the opponent in a rush to make their moves. While in the desert it seems this jutsu will not be accessible automaticly without using water style jutsu to enforce it.
✯✯✯(Suiton: Mizu Kuri No Yaiba) - Water Style: Sword of Draining
Given only certain times the use of this jutsu, I see that I'd want to use it with another element. The solid working of the blade isn't much quality but equal to a normal katana/ or less. :/ Now as with streaming ration properties this jutsu could easily become interesting.
✯✯✯(Suiton: Junsai no Jutsu) - Water Release: Water Shield Technique
Quite not that of defensive, but interesting to so the same as the jutsu before. Given the properties and how it could stop simple staff. I find that the arm stretching to blocking only in front is a pointless and annoying type of jutsu that would be inquisitional to max.

I like the star thing but you didn't elaborate a lot. Sorry but i will need you to try again and this time think more about the technique. tell me why would that technique you chose be first, why would the range compliment this ability, why would it help you to win against sharingan users, how how you use it in combos in the future, against what other techniques can it help you with. About the second one, tell me what does it have less? Why is it not usable against other swords or any other techniques in any way. Words, words, words. I need more reasons why you stated them. Sorry...it isn't really my style, but I want to make you understand this method fully.

That explanation was a lot better, and if you wanna do them better, just think more broadly. Think of combos, usages, strength, weaknesses, range, power handseals ect ect..Your template is correct, I just want more words, I want you to elaborate a lot more for every technique. We can continue then^^

(Suiton: Suiben) - Water Release: Water whip
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After the user performs a series of 3 hand seals Rat → Dog → Ox, the user creates a whip of water that can be used to strike the opponent with a lashing action or wrap around the target to bind them. This technique can also have lightning techniques channeled through when they have bound their victim with the water whip.

A fairly nice technique. You will simply make 3 handseals and extend either of your hands. Now whenever you are ready, you will send your chakra to the hand and create a whip of compressed water up to 10 m in length. his whip is fairly strong, with one swing it can easily kick away projectile weapons. Another thing it can do is warp around the enemy and restrict his movements. Now if you would charge lightning chakra through it, the water can help you conduct it to the enemy and give him a nice shock. If you think outside of the box, you can warp your enemies body parts, pull them, rotate them, and use the damage as a whip itself and cause a lot of harm to everyone you will strike.

(Suiton: Mizuame Nababara) - Water Style: Starch Syrup Capture Field
Rank: C
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user After performing the required hand seals Ram → Tiger spits out high-viscosity, chakra infused water, aimed at a surface of wide scope. This is a stream of sticky liquid which can be used to form an adhesive trap that can inhibit a person's mobility. One can effectively reduce their enemy's area of activity with this technique, and has the effect of being able to take complete control over the battlefield. The normal scope of this technique is normally just a few meters, but if prepared, it is also possible to make an entire pond of starch syrup. Being caught in the technique can be avoided by channeling chakra to one's feet allowing one to walk upon it uninhibited, beforehand.

Another fairly useful technique. You will simply make 2 handseals and charge water chakra inside your body, whenever you are ready, you will release the water from your mouth, directed at the ground as it spreads widely. This is not a normal water though, this water has a very high viscosity. You can negate that when you charge chakra in your feet and you would be able to walk through it. But if the enemy lands on it, he will be stuck in place, he wouldn't be able to escape from it. Since the enemy can't move anymore, there are millions of combos you can use to finish him off.

(Mizu Bunshin) - Water Release: Water Clone
Rank: C
Range: Short
Type: Supplementary
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal the user creates a clone of themselves made of water. These water clones have 1/10th of the users chakra. These clones are also limited in that they can only travel short range from the user without losing control. When a water clone take enough damage they revert back to normal water.
Note: Can only perform up to C rank Water techniques and requires a water source.

The water variation of maybe one of the best techniques in the entire RP. You will perform he tiger handseal when you are close to a water source. Then you will control the water to slowly rise and shape up in a copy of yourself. This copy has 1/10th of your own chakra and is able to perform only water techniques up to C rank. Another disadvantage is that after about 5m's of distance, the clone will naturally break apart and turn into a puddle of water, so you wanna keep them close.

  • It's very handy and useful in cases I could see anyone would have. It's given that it could be used with ration as well not lose it's properties thus a double combo effect. Liquid tangible aspect probability to bend and carve through obstacles is handy. I like how it combines the very effect of a cousin element and putting it to use. When I see myself fall I would quickly use the very ability of this jutsu to hold onto something. I dislike the point of making seals into order to get to use this jutsu as it will give a way the quickly surprise, but overall...4.0! O_O
[✯✯✯✯](Suiton: Mizuame Nababara) - Water Style: Starch Syrup Capture Field
  • Funny name, *ahem*, this jutsu is great for capturing and limiting your opponent in field range. Though it would be walked over(^.^ see what I did there) by simply being able heighten one's self using chakra below their feet, another would use the opposite element or simply overwhelm the jutsu using chakra from there feet to launch themselves away...etc. I could use this to cover logs on tree branches.
[✯✯✯✯](Mizu Bunshin) - Water Release: Water Clone
  • A clone! Who doesn't like one? It like a little bro that looks like you and acts/talks etc like you! Well not really as this dumb clone can't really do what you can do as it requires a good source of water in order to complete whatsoever is commanded and in a limited jutsu range of ranking. Besides that it is able to hold opponents using it's orginal based compounds. 1/10 of your power and your ascept :0 Rare enough I would use this as I have to first create a viable water source...too much work...otherwise I WILL use the clone as a water bomb trap XD

Fantastic work ;).

(Suiton: Suigandan) - Water Release: Water Fang Bullet
Rank: C
Range: Short
Type: Offense
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: A technique that deals physical damage to the enemy with a liquid mass brought forth from underwater. Its power to kill and maim is augmented by adding a spinning motion to the compactly pressured water. During fights on water, taking advantage of its characteristic ability to attack from anywhere in a 360 degrees radius, in conjunction with other techniques for distraction, confusion and so forth, this technique has an extensive array of applications.
Note: Requires a water source.

Alright, this is actually a very nice technique. If you are fighting over water, you can use it very well in your advantage. So, when you are in a water surface, you will use the water around your enemy to poke out slowly as it rotates inward in on itself. It will create in a way little drills of water which rotate. These drills can be used perfectly right below the enemy and pierce their legs either limiting their movements or completely kill him if you aim for necessary organs. So, the best combos for this would be if you throw your enemy into the water or if you are fighting someone over the water just as I told it before. It has a very simple principle.

Suiton: Kirigakure Shiryoku Hakudatsu) - Water Release: Hidden Mist Eye Sight Deprivation
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15(-3 each turn to keep it active)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Using the hidden mist jutsu the user reflects the natural light an a way that it blinds there opponent temporarily as long as the opponent is in the mist.
Note: Must have already used hidden mist jutsu

This technique can only be used after the hidden mist technique. So you will first use the hidden mist technique. Now you will effect the mist there and allow it to reflect the light which come from the sun. With this technique you generate so much light, you can blind your enemy fully. So...you should be very careful when you use it. In mose cases you will be inside the mist as well and it can blind you very well. Also the mist can be blown away too so that you wouldn't be able to use it very well and efficient. I really dislike most techniques when you need to have another tech prior to that, but I will leave the rating to you.

(Suiton: Suishōha) - Water Style: Water Shock Wave
Rank: C-B-Rank
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 15-20
Damage Points: 30-40
Description: This technique allows the user after clapping their hands together to make a spiraling vortex of water to form around them out of nowhere in a vortex like manner. The vortex then proceeds to cascade into an wave of water that rampages towards the intended target or all around. The size and power of the technique is dictated by the amount of chakra put into the technique, varying from C-rank to B-Rank.

Alright, this is a very nice technique. You will clap your hands together and create a very large torrent of water right before you. This torrent which is an inwards rotating vortex of water, can be shot in form of a wave right towards your opponent. It rampages around your target and fully kills him just because of the blunt force that it deals. It is a very quick technique and if used together with lightning you can even deal shocking damage to your enemy. Another thing I would consider very good, is the fact that this technique can be used either as a C rank or B rank.
