It's like cannon vs non cannon.
That alone means yata>bluntsword BUT also yata doesn't BLOCK the attack, it DEFLECTS it, meaning bluntsword would basically break itself if it hit the yata mirror.

What if it's a new attack, does it automatically get reflected? How does yata mirror even change elements like that to counter? Wouldn't that mean Itachi technically has every Affinity to have ever existed, including future ones? Does that Including the Incredibly rare Releases the Bijuu have? If you hit Yata Mirror with an attack that has every affinity and release, would it still ge countered or would it create some type of black hole. How does yata mirror know something's an attack? Couldn't you just walk through yata mirror as long as you don't have malice to attack? There's no way running can be seen as an attack.If Yata mirror doesn't have a physical form and spiritual, how do we know it's a mirror? It would be a tomato for all we know. A giant spiritual tomamo that reflects everything. If that's now the case, why the hell is it called a mirror if it's clearly a shield. Technically throwing can be considered an attack. How does it reflect a throw? Does it throw you instead? What if you punch it. Does it create another human to punch your punch, thus reflecting it? What about gas or poison? How does it reflect that? With a cloud of anti-poison? That would mean Itachi would have an antidote for every poison. But he died from a diseases? Why didn't yata mirror just reflect the damage?What if you attack the shield from behind, does it move? Is his entire Susanoo a yata mirror? What if Totsuka blade accidentally touches Yata mirror? 1. The Yata Mirror is endowed with every nature, yes, and it is true that it changes its composition to block any attack, but it is a common misconception that it must change to the opposing nature, or to any nature at all to block.

Let's say a fireball is sent at it. Maybe it changes to water, maybe it changes to earth, maybe it changes to lead or diamond. Any of these work to negate the fireball, so all are on the table, as far as we know.

2. Yata Mirror's ability to identify an attack is based on one of two possible things, either

-Itachi chooses what is blocked and what is not, or
-The Yata mirror is sentient.

Both are possible. Both Itachi and Sasuke have shown that a Susano'o user can choose who enters Susuano'o and who does not, so the same may apply to the Yata Mirror, as it is seemingly attached to Susano'o.

Alternatively, The Yata mirror itself may select due to a latent sentience. We have seen that inanimate sentience is possible, as evidenced by Samehada, so being a tool of spiritual origins, tiers above the legendary tools used even by the Sage of Six Paths, that is another likely ability.
