"When my father was still king of the shinigami, he did some very questionable things, very...inhumane things, one of those things was fusing the soul and memory of his subjects into crystals, he only did it to a few shinigami, the only ones i know of are me, Ryun and himself, the crystal you are holding is my father's void gem, shinigami are linked with soul gems, so when they die, they go into the gem, but until then, they live separately and the crystal acts like a shinigami's heart...."

He grabs the crystal from kayame. "i dont know what Demetri told you about these gems but i feel as if i should tell you myself, this will not bring back your memory, what will happen is that you will gain Ryun's memory and emotions, you will be able to see yourself from his perspective, do you understand?"

" very well, I'll accept this gem of Ryun."

 

[Makoto Yuki]

"are you sure?" he grabs the gem hanging around his neck. "you wont be full demon from now on....if you take this gem, you'll be half shinigami, like your son daisuke...."

*Amy walks past the group* to my memory, you have three, no, could even be four. *turning to Demetri* I'll be back in my domain, let me know when you've finished up. *she does her best not to catch Pain's eye as she leaves, a shadow slithering from under her cloak and onto some of the ruins, watching the group*

Pain grits his teeth. "well hi to you too...." pain shakes his head. "fine..." he grabs the crystal and places it on her forehead. "Shinigami art: gem transplant!" the gem begins to go into kayame's head, kayame then starts gaining Ryun's memory.

*Placebo, the shadow on the wall, thinks to itself* ((well that looks painful...))

Demetri watches helplessly. "is there nothing we can do?!"

I breathe heavily and begin shaking as I feel all of the pain he went through *

*a hiss-like voice is heard from placebo above them* I'm supposed to freeze you again when you're finished...but in the end it's your choice. it was yours to be frozen in the first place after all.
