Does that mean some of his manga isn't even canon because he has assistants? I feel like if the author didn't like whatever others did with the story he wouldn't have let them publish it in the first place. What ever Kishi writes.
So you are telling me just because some of his assistants did some part of his manga it does not mean its canon? I mean specially knowing the fact that Kishi worked on majority of it himself?Does that mean some of his manga isn't even canon because he has assistants? There is no semi canon . Its only canon or filler. Kishi worked on the Last. It was his idea for the red scarf. He even worked on fixing the scripts. Bottomline is that he himself stated the Last and manga were connected. Therefore what ever you think or your followers think is irrelevant.Fixed.The Last is semi canon
Yup it had way too much filler scenesFixed. The Last is semi canon
Well if people are making arguments out of if it's canon or not there's probably no real answer that confirms it. U_USo you are telling me just because some of his assistants did some part of his manga it does not mean its canon? I mean specially knowing the fact that Kishi worked on majority of it himself?
@bold: How does him liking it or disliking it make it canon?
You missed a part of his statement. He said "connected as much as possible" not entirelyThere is no semi canon . Its only canon or filler. Kishi worked on the Last. It was his idea for the red scarf. Does it matter? Thats like saying since some parts of the manga were not worked on by Kishi. They are not canon. While the other parts worked on by Kishi are canon. If we go by your logic we could even call the manga semi canon. You missed a part of his statement. He said "connected as much as possible" not entirely
Because even if the editors give him the ideas,he writes the manga himself. For instance,The Chunnin exam arc was the editor's creation,BUT he wrote that arc with his own pen.Hence he still has quite some control over what went into it with perhaps even some own ideas thrown inDoes it matter? Dude if you wanna talk about blunders or mishaps theres plenty in the manga itself. I don't see the point of looking at every detail of this when the author stated himself its canon. Unless these novels get any sort of confirmation by him. They won't be canon. Simple.Because even if the editors give him the ideas,he writes the manga himself. For instance,The Chunnin exam arc was the editor's creation,BUT he wrote that arc with his own pen.Hence he still has quite some control over what went into it with perhaps even some own ideas thrown in
Whereas here the script was not written by him.He fixed the parts which needed fixing but there is a possibility certain aspects may conflict with it.Hence by using the word "possible" it means there is a slight chance there is non canon material in there which means this movie is not 100% canon
This is also the reason why he says there is no need to read the manga to know the movie whereas if you miss a manga chapter you cant follow the future chapters because of missing a part of the story which is not the case here,Even in chapter 700,not a single part of the movie is even referenced
So did the fillers in the anime series. LolCanon or not, the novels are filling more the holes between 699 and 700 than The Last.
Oh look we got a Kishimotto over here. It's an official addition to the manga's story it's canon so is The Last. Unless something later contradicts it completely, like if Sakura never made a children's clinic
Except he made them himself. They are canon as he wrote them.He doesnt come out sayin "Look some of these ideas are not mine.Hence there is a possibility certain aspects of the manga may contradict and these are not canon" whereas he said so for the movie.Dude if you wanna talk about blunders or mishaps theres plenty in the manga itself.
No its not entirely canon. There already are contradictions in it.I am not denying the manga does nto have em but the author did not say those parts aint canon whereas he is being specific about the movie reason being many parts of the movie were not correlated neither in the past chapter or in the future chapter as wellI don't see the point of looking at every detail of this when the author stated himself its canon.
I am holding my judgement till Part 3.If certain instances of these novels, like the Mental Facility are shown there then I will take it as semi canon. If nothing from the novel is present, its not canonUnless these novels get any sort of confirmation by him. They won't be canon. Simple.
So you are telling me it was better for him to not state the movie was canon? Because it already has some counterdictions which would lead one to believe its a filler?Except he made them himself. They are canon as he wrote them.He doesnt come out sayin "Look some of these ideas are not mine.Hence there is a possibility certain aspects of the manga may contradict and these are not canon" whereas he said so for the movie.
The author does not need to go into every detail of this movie and state what is canon or not. This whole reading between the lines thing you are doing is similar to how you defended NaruSaku in the pairings thread. No its not entirely canon. There already are contradictions in it.I am not denying the manga does nto have em but the author did not say those parts aint canon whereas he is being specific about the movie reason being many parts of the movie were not correlated neither in the past chapter or in the future chapter as well
I don't believe in this semi canon stuff. But if it makes you sleep better at night. Then feel free to believe it till your heart desires.I am holding my judgement till Part 3.If certain instances of these novels, like the Mental Facility are shown there then I will take it as semi canon. If nothing from the novel is present, its not canon
