Lol u spend too much time in the city. After a couple of minutes(atm an hr) the irises of your eyes dilate to take in more light. You would be able to see a candle light from 30 miles away, if it's dark enough. After all. You can see stars from galaxies away.

Reason why you can't see shit is light pollution.
