I don't even think Sakura is a failure. Sure she is a horrible combatant, but she has the best female achievements thus far. Only because Kishimoto felt the need to exclude the rest of the females in the K11. Remember when Ten Ten said she wanted to surpass Tsunade? Lol

Sakura is a great medical shinobi. However, her character and overall depth is a complete shite. Part One Sakura was horrible, Part two Sasori arc was okay, and then it went further downhill.

I can only hope that she stays away from Part 3. I don't want to see some OOC

The answer should be fairly obvious. It's because of the same reason Naruto fans started liking Hinata all of a sudden - they're just bandwaggoners that hop onto the important things associated with their favourite character's life. No disrespect to the ones that liked Sakura/Hinata from the start, of course, but that's sadly how it mostly goes.

I actually haven't really seen Sakura haters starting to like her after ch.700. At best, their resentment of her was changed to neutrality, a category in which a lot of Sasuke fans fall.

Eh, I'm more of a sasuino fan because they would be amazing as a couple but I've never really hated Sakura I mean...i have no valid reason too, the only thing she did that bothered me was she didn't stab obito's eye which could've prevented the kaguya situation but I don't hate her for that, she's just a character
