you can't ask why we hate him then site a specific time period where he can't be hated....he turned into an egotistical douche! Granted hes much better now but still. He attitude towards women is what really irks people but thats what happens when you pair daddy issues with a poor mother figure. Hes much better but he'll have to do some major charity work to undo the image he has ingrained in our minds.
This sounds like some feminazi reason to hate him, it's music, no reason to get butthurt over it.

So it's safe to say changing for the worse.
Yup. If I'm only liking the chorus and the beat, that's a problem. If I only like one song from your album, that's a problem. If its your song and you had a feature artist on it, and I'm only liking the feature artist, that's a problem. If I only like your video and have no clue whats you rapping about, then that's a problem. #HipHopIsDead

You asked why people hate him correct? If we are critically thinking and I hope we are we can honestly say that not everyone in the world is a Hip hop listener as you put it. Most people who appreciate other music and the older generations have a problem with his subject matter.
you're free to express your opinion but my question was directed towards hop hop listeners :)

But from 1999 - 2004 (at least) you GOTTA give Eminem the respect he's due. No other rapper could touch him lyrically or flow wise.
That's funny, because in 1999 DOOM made Operation Doomsday, and proceeded to make Vaudeville Villain and Take Me To Your Leader in 2003, plus, Madvillainy and MM..Food in 2004, all which triumph Eminem in lyrical quality/multis, creativity, and in some cases, production too. Besides, underground classics like Binary Star came out in that timeframe too, which also beats em in lyricism.

Why do devoted hip hop listeners (no not the people who just listen to Eminem) put him in a negative light?
Because he is extremely entry level when it comes to multisyllables and "complex" lyricisim, to people who have dug deep in the genre of hip hop and generally people who haven't only heard rehashed radio garbage rappers that don't even know how to spell lyricism, nothing about em stands out.
