About these novels...

So, i now after naruto manga 700 ended, there's lots of pieces to this "new era" shit.

There's the movie (i'm waiting on an official sub release to watch it)

The novels

And the "mini" series. spin off.

Are ANY of them written by masashi kishimoto? or are ALL of those written by that blood castle guy or whatever?

Also who all is getting novels? Do you need to see the last before you read them?

And when is the release of all of these things?

No, the novels are not canon~ They are derivative works from Kishimoto's storyline that are written primarily by other authors (albeit with his supervision).

Incorrect. The Last was worked on by Kishimoto.

While the manga was geared toward friendship, the theme in The Last: Naruto the Movie will be about love. Kishimoto-sensei explains the idea was originally from the anime producers. He himself was unable to write about love in the manga, it was something he avoided due to feelings of embarrassment, so he felt this could go well as a movie theme to further show Naruto’s growth. The script for the movie was not written exclusively by Kishimoto-sensei, rather he was given a script so that he could recommend changes to properly flesh out the story and set the mood.

Kishi told them what he wanted and removed what he didn't like in the movie, he wasn't involved in the novels. The Last is also considered Chapter 699.5. The Databook for the movie even transcripts facts from the movie as an official databook of Naruto from JC (jump comics) Lol

The Last is canon. The Bolt mini series will be canon. The Bolt movie (is there a movie?) will probably be canon as well (slightly less than the Last if that makes sense).

The novels are not canon but are good for character development.

Naruto novels have been released before, much like the Sasuke chronicles, and that was not canon either. Understanding that much if these were supposed to be canon, Kishimoto would have said so by now or his current editor. The person translating these novels stated: "No, the novels are not canon~ They are derivative works from Kishimoto's storyline that are written primarily by other authors (albeit with his supervision)."

The canon material that have been approved to be canon were all stated to have taken place between 699 ~ 700. Not stating that the settings for the novels are between 699 ~ 700, but stating that what happened in these novels never REALLY happened between 699 and 700. Kishimoto did not work on them either, much like his other canon projects thus far.
