I concur. That guy had it coming for his lifetime of sins. Besides like you said, murder and incarceration barely seems justifiable, except in the execution of this man for his collective lifetime of sins. Violence only begets violence. We should take them to Waffle House and buy them free breakfast for life, and then give them hug therapy. That will encourage them to empathize. Maybe we can give them free lap dances and video games for life as well in case they get bored again.
OT: This crime is like all crimes, a hate crime, because it takes hate to commit it. It won't incite riots because it's a black on white crime, because, as some have said, the media does not choose to blow these crimes out of proportion. Was it racially charged, maybe? Did they picked the guy with the terrier and not the big dog because of their skin color and not the dog, which they could have killed as well? I don't know. It ultimately doesn't matter because a crime against humanity is no better or worse because of racism; not if you truly believe people are equal. Of course white people won't forget this in the same way a black person wouldn't forget if the races were turned, and feelings of insecurity and anger will always perpetuate indifference. But here are a few reasons why the media won't blow this out of proportion like the Ferguson shootings:
1. These kids won't get off. They'll be locked in jail with many other young black men. I'm not saying that you shouldn't serve your time for a crime, but traditionally black men haven't had the same privilege in legal counsel (besides OJ Simpson). Even 50 years ago many black men didn't even have due process of law in America. In the 1930s these boys would have just been hung outside a court room without a fair trial.
2. In America blacks are a minority, and an ever growing minority as Latinos grow in size. Crimes of a minority against a majority are not seen as a threat. I'm not saying these actions might not make a white person more intimidated by a black kid dressed a certain way. I mean a threat to the majority races' power as a whole. Right now blacks make up around 12% of the US population, where as European and Latinos make up close to 72%; their representation is not enough to be fearful on a legislative level.
3. Media sensationalism follows trends. Right now a minority attacking and murdering a majority isn't trendy. It is sad.
