In before anybody says "Outlasts clam summon", the only summon that got tagged with a significant time limit was Gamakichi. Bunta, Katsuyu, and many other summons fought for hours. Literally no reason why a kage level's summon who happens to be a vital partner for one of his strongest techniques would poof after 20-30 minutes or so.

I see Trollkage winning this. Hirudora and Asakujaku are linear attacks and the genjutsu spreads out in an omnidirectional fashion throughout an entire battlefield. That's... huge.

Gai would crap on Joki Boi though.

Without intel on 2nd Mizukage, I don't see how Gai wins. While he is effected by the genjutsu which he doesn't know about, Joki Boi or 2nd Mizukage himself can take Gai out considering he can't perceive them in anyway.

2nd Mizukage mid difficulty but with full intel, it would be a high difficulty fight on either side.

Why make a stomp match up? 6th gate Gai wins.

No clam summoning means no genjutsu but Asakujaku vaporized 1000 sharks so his water body gets vaporized. Gai is much faster than 2nd Mizukage. Joki Boi is pretty fast but certainly not on par with gated Gai. If Sasuke can outrun C2 explosions 6th gate Gai can outrun Joki Boi. Not exactly sure how Joki Boi functions though, would it blow up if hit by Asakujaku?

Don't think that the Mizukage can use Joki and the genjutsu at the same time. Doesn't he have to pour chakra into the clam to keep the genjutsu functioning? If not then he would be even more OP. I swear Trollkage should be one of my faves now, regardless of whether he can or can't do that.

I don't think 2nd Mizukage can use the explosion of Joki Boi while maintaining the clam genjutsu as it was shown to be very taxing on himself. Regardless, the claim is restricted here.

Joki Boi is a clone of Gengetsu, which carries the same priorities of the wielder. The wielder's body (hydration) resembles oil more then water. And oil is very sensitive to heat, which is the whole purpose of absorbing for Joki boys main attack, explosion. Joki is not getting vaporize, he heats up faster and explodes faster. With that happening Joki is blowing up on Guy's face.

Yeah but the genjutsu's description on narutowiki says that Gengetsu has to manifest the images himself. That has to include moulding some form of chakra, right??

I dont know in what source narutowiki made that assumption. But Gengetsu made it clear that if you want to break the genjutsu, the clam must be destroyed. The clam is the source, the claim is the reason.

Narutowiki is based off of the databook. And how else are the images being produced? As far as I know, all the clam does is exude mist. The rest has to be done by a second party, or Gengetsu in this case.

I read the wiki you said and it states no such thing anyway. Plus the fact that it is going against manga. If what your statement is true, then that means there a second option of defeating the genjutsu and that is beating Gengetsu himself. When Gengetsu disagrees

A wide-range genjutsu (広範囲幻術, kōhan'i genjutsu, Literally meaning: wide-range illusion technique), whereby Gengetsu, in conjunction with his summon, is able to manifest realistic mirages using the mist exuded by the clam.
