Your thoughts about him using KGs again to cut down the training time by less than half? Like I said, two sides to a picture. He is trying to learn something? Big deal. So does every single ninja. It doesn't make all of them hard-workers.

He was having a hard time learning it even with the KGs, he had to continue to grind it until he learned itfrom through hard work and perseverance

He was born with nothing, not a clan that spoon fed him techniques and neither magic eyes that automatically give him everything.
Being a jinchuriki was a huge downside, it has put his life at risk and hampered his training like sage mode and other times, just because he turned that downside around and made it his strong point doesn't mean he had it easy.
His mother had the bloodline special abilities which he did not get.
That's what the entire story is about genius.

Again you show the lack of understanding of basic things, kage bunshin training doesn't reduce the amount of work put in, the only thing it reduces is amount of time required.
It simply compresses the work of years into weeks due to several clones distributing the work among themselves.

The only people who deserve to be called an underdog in this story are Lee, Gai and arguably Sakura.
Hardworker and Underdog are two different things. Naruto only works hard when he needs to or when he is trying to get stronger to beat someone else i.e his FRS training to beat Sasuke and his Sage Mode training to beat Pain.
Naruto is not an underdog because he has received too many gifts and help to get to where he is.

How are you an underdog when you already have your future laid out for you? Child of Prophecy? And you seriously think that someone who was chosen as the Child of Prophecy to be an underdog? Both Naruto nor Sasuke cannot be qualified as underdogs because they were already gifted with immense power from their birth and they have received plenty of led way during their childhood, also the fact that they were chosen as Ashura and Indra's reincarnates then they are even more unqualified to be underdogs. Why exactly do you think Hashirama and Madara were so gifted in their childhood compared to everyone else? Initial Jinchuriki mode Naruto threw the concept of underdog out of the windows as with it he could pretty much solo nearly everyone
