Naruto lacked epic fights

I mean after Itachi vs Sasuke, and Naruto vs Pain the series didn't have a nice battle. It consisted of short battles with inadequate action. Fight with Juubito was garbage, and Madara's fight was skiped a lot. Gai vs Madara was super brief and Kaguya was uninteresting. It was called war arc, yet nothing epic happened.

Even then it had potential. I was pumped for kakshi's rampage, then kishi completely ignored it. Itachi and Sasuke vs Kabuto was one of the rare good fights.

Even then it had potential. I was pumped for kakshi's rampage, then kishi completely ignored it. Itachi and Sasuke vs Kabuto was one of the rare good fights.

He only focus on fights/battles that are meaningful to the plot. He didn't want to drag the story on then what it needed to be. HE probably had a deadline.

Yes Itachi and Sasuke vs Kabuto was nice. The fight with Obito became boring after Kamui was exposed.

Agreed, now that I think about it, it was superb.
But the anime is going to suck, Studio Pierrot is shitty when it comes to action scenes, everything they touch is stale.

Madhouse should have done the anime.
Same thing with Fairy Tail, now that it does the anime its all shitty filler and even shittier animation. But people eat it up like free cupcakes.
