No motion sickness for Natsu or he had Gray on his mind which made him forget motion sickness.

Natsu was riding an animal, that's the reason.

Im guessing Gray is actually not evil and is just trying to infiltrate AVATAR so he can destroy end and Zeref and believes he is the only one who can do it because of his new devil slayer magic. The curse was probably just his powers developing so he went to develop them alone and search for avatar without Juvia so she wouldnt get hurt.
