I've never been a big fan of RPG's (maybe because I never really gave them a good try), but I've played FF13 when it came out for a day and it was pretty good if I remember. But at some point it got too difficult to me, so I stopped.

But the new FF looks awesome! I have a couple of questions about it though.

1. When will it come out?

2. How can I get the Demo that is currently on PS4?

3. Do I have to know the previous games' stories?

4. Would you recommend this game to me?

idk.

i saw someone playing it on youtube and i think it isn't really that great of a game. it just doesn't have the classic ff feel to it. its like the game is a kh/tales of/star ocean rip off. i don't like the graphics

''sasuke'', the main character, has some great looking abilities though

1) Depends where you live - Google it
2) Demo is for the people who have bought the new "Final Fantasy Type 0 HD" game
3) No. New story, location, characters, etc...
4) Stupid question because nobody has played it yet..

Well I've actually completed the demo along with every other main FF game.

And it's the best to date so far, and that was just the demo I played. The fighting system is like a perfect version of Kingdom Hearts and stomps any of the other fighting systems I've played so far in a FF game.

Definite must buy unless the story ends up sucking.

Ah okay, good to know. And I'm not that big of an Batman fan tbh.

Ok, thanks.

A demo isn't an accurate view of a full game.

The whole idea of a demo is to show you the good part of a game, to entice people to buy it.
I've played the demo, and its really good. But i wouldnt base my whole opinion of a game just from a demo.

You asked if we would recommend the game. Not the Demo. So i repeat - noone has played it yet.
If you want a recommendation on the demo - it's pretty decent.

That's not exactly true, the point of a demo is to showcase the game mechanics. While they say it's still in development based on Square-Enix's track record they release demo near completion.

Which leads to me believe you actually didn't play it, because they say that in the demo. Not to mention since a demo is a showcase of the game, it showed the graphics, the frame rates, the basis for the battle, systems, the enemies. That's the point of the demo.

While it isn't the full game it gives you a glimpse. That's why the scenario in the demo wasn't even showing anything to make you want the game. It was literally one mission, to get Gil for the car and you got to see how the game works.

I just wanted to know what FF fans think about the game/demo so far. No need to get so intense on whether it's just a demo or not. And also, judging by first impressions you can still give a bit of a recommendation. I'm a noob when it comes to FF, so by asking FF fans what they think of the game so far is at least for me, a recommendation.

Anyway thanks for your input though.

No.

The whole idea of a demo is to show off the game to make people want to get it. It's the same for any Demo.
No company would bring out a demo and show something boring. They bring something out that shows promise (or create something from scratch for people to play). They give a part that shows that there is going to be a decent story and a part that is fun, which would make people think "i wouldn't mind giving this game a go and see what happens next".

But you cant base judgement on a whole game from just a demo. Plenty of demos have come out in the past that were decent, then the game turns out to be a pile of garbage and the only decent part is the bit you play in the demo.

Can moan as much as you want, but all demos are simply marketing tactics to get people to buy their game. Plain & Simple.

I never said it wasn't marketing but discrediting the demo is silly when it's giving you a peek at how it works.

1. There is no solid release date yet. But it should be releasing mid-late next year or even 2017.

2. You can look it up.

3. No.

4. Hard to say. Gameplay looks good, though it looks a little too light-hearted for a game that is said to be the "darkest game in the series".
