PS3 to Computer Monitor

I want to connect my PS3 to my Monitor but it won't work. I plug the HDMI into the monitor. Hold the PS3 button until I hear two beeps, cycle through inputs and it still says no signal. Can anyone help?

Try pressing the mode/input , it could be simply a setting.
Try pressing the auto button.
Make sure resolution is the same for the PS3.
Turn the ps3 on first then the monitor and then try the other way around, it could be one of those things.

year, it sounds like you're doing the stuff on the ps3, but you're neglecting your monitor's needs. For my 360, i just hooked the hdmi into my monitor, and changed the input. didn't even have to wait for beepings.

New Monitor and ask the seller does it support Playstation. Usually I do that most of them say yes.
