Ooooooooooh, scaaaryyy.

"War on Terror, and "terrorists". I hate those phrases. Just ways to pretend that we're saints and that our opponents are all like Dr. Evil. It's the same as the word "WMDs" were used to f*ck up Iraq. I agree that there is bad going on in the middle east but to use such a strong word like terror? That's some serious propaganda right there. It honestly makes it sound like Satan lives in the middle east. Why can't they just say war on ISIS (aka FSA, a rebel group supported by the U.S to overthrow Assad's regime)? You know a lot of people called it in 2012 that what happened in Afghanistan would repeat itself in Syria? Well, they were exactly right.

I just had to post this because a recent thread inspired me, lol.

Lol, how do political aims come from terror? That's pretty much every war.

It's funny how terror means extreme fear. That's what the government uses to justify things. They instill great fear in us by using words like "WMD" to go into war. Does that make them terrorists, because that's the exact "definition".

Go to your room.
I'm in my room. Gosh, mom. I'm 12 now.

Ask the person who made the definition. The word terrorist is completely blown out of proportions and the people who use it (politicians) are hypocrites

Then what would you call it? I think it's appropriately named. Considering the definition of terrorism and all. Lol

I think that the phrase "War on Terror" is too kind, as it's nothing more than a euphemism started by George Bush.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

How about what all other wars are based on, location? War on Islamist Extremists, maybe? Or dare I say, "Exploitation of the Middle East". The latter isn't that catchy though.

Really, what would you call it?

Because we are not at war with Afghanistan, or other middle eastern countries. We are at war with the terrorist groups that reside in them.

War on ISIS? There is pretty much only 4 groups that they have problems with. Al Qaeda, Taliban, ISIS, and whatever that African one is, lol.

By using the word terrorist you are creating fear in your citizens and pressuring them to let's say go into war with Iraq. Which is exactly the definition of terrorism.

Because all brown people are out to get us, it's a war that spans more than just national boundaries. It should be a war on Brown. Michael Brown was just an accident, a mix up due to his last name.

Well fear was established in the citizens a good time before the phrase was coined, I feel like the so called "War on Terror" at one point really meant something to America. Something they wouldn't mind getting behind, but has been reduced to something many politicians and the like use to further their agendas.

You literally are repeating what I'm saying, and not saying anything new. Lol.

Not really. I'm saying that you can call them what they call themselves and also that using the word terrorist makes us hypocrites.

we should quit focussing on childish matters such as this and focus instead on more important matters like the shortage of dedicated pornstars in the porn industry.

Phrases like ''war on drugs/terror'' give the audience the idea that the government is fighting to end those issues..But the underlying meaning is nothing more than to perpetuate that problem for profit.
