Who do people hate on his character stating he was never the underdog? Naruto has worked extremely hard for everything he has, he was indeed a failure and an outcast because he was a jinchuriki. Asura has always been the failure/underdog compared to his brother Indra. Naruto is asura's incarnate, even though he's a failure, through hard work he rivaled his genius brother. You must also note Naruto is the main protagonist, as the main shonen hero, he'd obviously become very powerful. Naruto was destined for greatness due to hard work and never giving up.

Do you people even know the definition of underdog? Apparently not :bdpf:

What sort of a failure is he with a deus ex machina on his side in many fights, massive chakra levels along with him being a destined child of prophecy not to mention Ashura descendant?Lol

The only underdog was Rock Lee

And where was it stated Ashura was a failure?

What sort of genius was sasuke requiring power handouts since Pt1? Indra was naturally talented/powerful, he did everything on his own. Atleast Naruto lives up to his incarnate, Itachi would make a far better indra than sasuke. :)

He was never an underdog, lol he had kurama, was the son a hokage, had great genes passed on to him, was ashura's transmigrant, the child of prophecy, and the sage of 6 paths reincarnated.

From the readers point of view, he appeared to be an underdog but in hindsight never was

I dont see how this disproves anything I said earlier about Naruto.Whats Sasuke got to do with Naruto being failure or not?And you say this as if Naruto wasnt handed powerups himself lel.And learn the difference between being a genius and being stronger.Seems you are confused between the two

Still failed the exams numerous times because he couldn't learn kagebunshin technique which through hard work became his trademark technique. :)

He was the only among K11 who didnt have a natural talent or ability or dojutsu right from the get go and got where he was on his own merit

An underdog isn't someone destined for greatness. He's someone who defies circumstances and overcomes the odds by sheer hardwork, not through being a "Child of Prophecy" or the "Reincarnation of Ashura". They shape their own destiny, not follow a path to the destiny that is strength which was already defined by prophecies and bloodlines and lineage. Naruto was born into a lineage riddled with huge names, the Rikudo Sennin, Namikaze Minato and Otsutsuki Ashura. He grew up having incredible potential and talent, but no skill. All he had to do was practice for a little bit, then he'd have what he wanted.

How does failing exams make him a underdog? The guy's talented in actual on site battles. He mastered Sage Mode in a week something which both Oro and Jiraiya couldnt in their entire life time

You said he was the only one....

Having genes, a dojustu and being someone of a prophecy doesn't automatically make you not an underdog.
