Because he genuinely doesnt know how to write a good female.He thinks they are just there to love the guys and look good.Tsunade did come close to becoming but the Pain Arc and many other scenes in the manga and also how she fares against Oro and Jiraiya still dont make me feel she is a good character too

Also funny thing to note,is that the wives of the two mains are the only ones seeing wearing an housewife apron while the others are normal attire

Kishimoto has no problem writing females or romance. He has a problem writing teenage females and romance.

Look at Minato, Kushina, Mikoto, Fugaku, Hashirama, Mito, Yahiko, Nagato, Konan, etc.,

Even Nagato got third wheel'd and he took it like a man. XD

Agree with the first part. Tsunade is the best handled female. Mostly because she is given things to do and doesn't suck at them like her apprentice. But if Hiruzen, Jiraiya, Oro and her were forced to work together (with War Arc feats), she would definitely be the weakest link.


As to the second part, I would add Temari to the legion of housewives. You can't see it fully but in chap 700 she appears to wearing a yutaka kimono.

"Feelings/Thoughts of Love, Placed/Riding Upon the Spring Breeze

not bc the title has the word "love" in it, but bc it includes the word "Spring"
Spring represents love in japan, so from all the promotions, the title, the summary, and etc, it will defin. be about romance w/ sasuke

oh gosh man. thats what I'm worried about as well. and yeah it will likely happen, unfortunately. most of the novel will prob be about her crying for him pretty much. what i want is their interaction w/ each other FACE TO FACE to witness their development

I agree. Sakura is pretty, but it's degrading at the same time that Kishi puts so much emphasis on her looks versus her character or characterization. All I ever see fans comment on optimistically is her looks whilst downplaying the semi-decent aspects of her character.

Hinata is not as pretty as her as noted by several in this thread, but Kishi tended to put more emphasis on her inner. I wish Sakura was afforded the same.

So many of the females went to waste in this series for the sake of horribly executed romance.​

It's not only about writting females, kishi admitted he didn't knew how to draw them very "feminine". That's why , the girls in naruto are a lot "tomboyish" in their moves. Now maybe he got hints, or worked this "problem" in order to give "feminine atmosphere" to his females.

For the cover he clearly copied some features from Konan in order to make her more beautiful. ( change a little the hair cut, remove the seal, put a flower and you have Konan)

Exactly. If he wanted to focus on Sakura as a character and lead her astray from the actual hateful comments, he would construct her character on the basis of actually helping people people and only thinking about what's good for her without needing anyone else to be there.

Really hoping for the author to make these less about pairings, but what-ever.
