i think gear 4th will simply be luffy using full body armament haki and his entire body will be covered in red hawk he wont use it often because it dehydrates and burns him a little but his attack power and speed multiplies highly.

oda loves drawing fire theres at lelast 10 characters with fire powers even if their powers have nothing to do with fire. sanji for example..

How will a Fullbody haki help his offensive power though?
I don't see a difference between a punch with FBH or a punch with only haki clad on his fists

well since his whole body is stronger then his individual attacks will also go up because a punch comes from more than just the forearm. re read when he fought don chin.

I don't remember that. But I do remember him using that combination against moria and it was quite effective actually.

i mean it wasnt that useful the elephant gatling didnt go much faster and wasnt much stronger so it wasnt really worth the extra strain on his body.

That only goes to show how much stronger he has gotten. Post TS luffy managed to use a gear 3 elephant gatling that was faster then a combined gear 2 and 3 combination that was used by pre TS luffy. Obviously if current luffy were to try that feat he wouldn't have all that extra strain on his body and he would be able to use it a lot better. The same thing happened when he used gear 2 for the first time , he couldn't maintain it for long and it took its toll on luffy , lucci even claimed it was shortening his lifespan. But look at luffy now using gear 2 like nothing.

My whole point was that the stronger he gets the less it will effect him. Those feats will not effect his body anymore. At all. Those 2 years wasn't just for Haki training , he practiced his DF abilities as well.

no it will have a negative effect on his body no matter what actually. adrenaline rushes make you age faster and hes forcing his body into an adrenaline rush state all the time and the bone enlargements arent doing him any favors either.
