and by the way that was a 5/5 episode...best chapter in ages imo...

obv the fights going to be drawn out in true manga style for a while. be interesting to see if gin has a hollowfication of some kind.

also leaves the issue of precisely what ichigo is/isnt until after the fight which is good as its something to look forward to (still reckon my half assed drunken thread might actually be accurate in some way)

2 things i liked most about this episode were

and the flashes of rukia. big ichi-rukia fan and its been too long since they had any sort of development of consequence, so good to see her efffect on him emphasised, now that orihime has finally stfu

THIS chapter was good but we didnt see anything new, just the isshin, ichigo talk took 10 pages which revealed nothing

Useless convo, but you've gotta love Isshin sending Aizen crashing through several buildings with a burst of kido/reiatsu from his finger O_O
I really hoped for some more character development on Isshin this chapter though. And Gin's Bankai, what could it be? O_O Hopefully, we'll learn a lot more about Isshin next chapter.

Swords grow from the walls and ground (somewhat like byuakuga bankai when he drops the sword) and attacks the enemy.

To much talk, but because it's Ishinn it's allowed xd he's awesome.

But there's something I dont get. Two chapters ago Aizen said "Because you're a shinigami and a-" and this chapter starts with "Because you're a human and a-"...what?

For some reason I find Aizens smile on the second row left pannel extremely funny. Dunno why xd

I loved this chapter, mainly like everyone else because ishin owned aizen but also how its set the manga up for 2 amazing fights, gins ban kai, and aizen struggling for once


Oh And the bit with ichigo and his dad made me lmao xd

ishinn is so powerful ..all the captains at once could not lay a finger on aizen ..and ishinn with one finger layed him down ....i like him

I know this'd be a fairly boring answer to Aizen's "big revelavtion".
But is it possible that he was going to say half human, half shinigami?
Two things make me consider this;
1) In this chapter he says "Because you are a human and a-" as opposed to "a shinigami and a-", so perhaps last weeks was a mistranslation?

2) On that same page linked above, Ichigo says: "I was mistaken though. I had no need to hear them from the start, since the answer appeared immediately before my eyes."
Which is followed by Isshin's appearance:

So perhaps he meant "it appeared before my eyes", in the literal sense. That his father appeared before his eyes, a shinigami. And you have to remember, up until this point, Ichigo's had no knowledge of his dad being one.


Just a thought. I'd be a little dissapointed if that actually is what Aizen meant, but still, it's a possibility, no?

Best thing about the chapter was the one finger salute of doom... Man... If only giving the middle finger irl had that effect.

Chapter was a wee bit disappointing... I wonder if Kubo himself knows yet what to tell us about this lineage... Or perhaps it is indeed something to keep us reading.

I still maintain that they are from the Shiba clan! Both ichigo AND his father share similarities to members of that family!

If you read it on *********** on the last page they explain that there was no error in translation, just a mistake on Kubo's part. But I guess we know what it was now, he is human and shinigami. Not very exciting. :|

I don't think that page was there from the beginning as I don't remember it and I always click on every page till there's not a single one left.

But yeah it's a real bummer -_-
