What ever happened to Yamato?

I may just be forgetting but I can't remember if they ever followed up on what was going on with Yamato. Last I recalled spiral zetsu had him. And I don't remember him being in chapter 700

Yep, he didn't appear in chapter 700. I've always said that he was a pointless addition into the character roster. And what happened to him within the last years of Naruto is proof of that.
