sharingan is terribly op-ed
alot of its jutsu revolves around the manipulation of time/space, amaterasu as hot as sun and cant be extinguished, madara's teleportation and dimensions, tsukiyomi manipulates time and space of the users mind through genjutsu( as itachi said that in that world he manipulates time/space), izanagi alters reality, susanoo(i dont need to explain ._.)
it shouldn't have been given so much power, in my opinion rennigen is the best but i cant hide from the fact that sharingan can win against it

The Rinnegan is support to be The First Eye tech to come into existence the Father to the Byukugan and Sharigan. It only appears in someone ones maybe in generations and not all its power or abilities have ben posted.

both sharingan and rinnegan are tools and as zetsu said a tool is as strong as its master . one with perfect knowledge of the sharingan can beat one with the rinnegan. The rinnegan was feared and respected throughout the plot as the strongest dojutsu but ithink that very little has been shown .very powerful techs but i was not very satisfied , i waited much more . the sharingan has all that levels and steps .... i don't know ... the Rinnegan i vote for it . The Sharingan may seem overpowered and I fully understand why people would think it is but I would have to personally agree with saying the Rinnegan is the stronger between the two. Amaterasu has been evaded and part of it was even extinguished by Jiraiya, Tsukuyomi can also be evaded if one avoids eye contact/has a Bijuu or even teammate to transfer chakra into the person being targeted to cancel it. All of these jutsu alongside Susanoo deteriorates the user?s eye sight and the latter can only remain existent through feeding off of one?s life force. The only way to fend off these cons is for one to achieve Eien no Mangekyou which currently only Madara and seemingly Sasuke have advanced it this far.

I?m not downplaying it but rather stating its excessive cons whilst the Rinnegan doesn?t really have any major con that I can think of.

I believe the Sharingan is completely worthy of its powers as it was derived directly from the Rikudou Sennin himself.​

Rinnegan, coz this dojutsu can shinra tensei and chibaku tensei anyone's arse. If Nagato was the inferior version of the Rikudo Sennin yet proved to be still powerful, what more of the Rikudo Sennin's prowess?

OTOH, I believe the Byakugan is being downplayed big time. It's weird that before, Kakashi states that the Byakugan is more powerful than the Sharingan when it comes to depth and field of vision, but unlike the Sharingan, it failed to give much mooarrrrr powerful techs other than having an advantage to learn the gentle fist tech (and the eight trigrams stuff).

geeez..the reningan obviously stronger than the sharingan.the sharingan is just the descendants from the reningan. madara even said it himself..when he met kakashi,yamoto and naruto.he even told the 5 kages that there was stone tablet that some could be read by the sharingan..most by the mongekyuo sharingan but all by the reningan/
