Best to not let it bother you. I use to get annoyed, but I gradually just started to humor them.

Whenever someone overhypes my faves, I'm actually very surprised because I tend to like relatively weak characters. I'm usually like, dude, I'm this character's fan and even I know they aren't that good. I mostly get the "why the heck would you like a fodder?" type of reaction, lol.

"Once" Some people poked fun at me for liking fodders, and I had to get used to that since I can't force myself to change my tastes.

Well no one should be forced by others what to like my favorite in all mangas is always someone the people do not find interesting but i do not care its my taste and no one but me can change it
