Why pairing wars are stupid.

Often in pairing wars, people bring up manga scans to show who loved who, for example Naruto and Sakura or Naruto and Hinata. What most people don't realize is that Kishimoto was always switching how he wanted the pairings to end and him and his editor would always change their mind. It's basically because Kishimoto needs to listen to popularity polls and editors to make his decisions.

I wouldn't say he was always switching. However he did say he considered NS at one point but decided to stick with NH, because it would make Sakura a terrible woman to constantly confess her love for Sasuke, friendzone Naruto and then give up on Sasuke and choose Naruto in the end. Sakura would be "unfaithful" woman.

Plus, someone had to end up with Lord Sasuke. Might as well be a character we're invested in. Kinda

Because it's not an opinion, it's a fact. It is pointless to argue about pairings when they were experimented with so much, the manga is just too inconsistent and nobody is right. It's also even more pointless to complain about me complaining about others complaining, like you're doing right now.

I've read them but I don't have the links right now. He literally didn't put SasuKarin because Karin wasn't popular enough.

You would think that he would try to make pairings through development but nope popularity, which is completely based off how he develops the characters. His logic for not giving Sakura another arc to develop her as a character was the polls even though her lower popularity was due to lack of development. It completely contradicts itself.

I don't know about that.

Kishimoto and whoever stated that Naruto pairing up with Hinata was decided on the earliest stages of the Manga. Hell he created Hinata before Sakura in the first place.

I just believe he likes to add red herrings and troll people.

Yeah thats the explanation he gave and also I might add "Even Sakura realises Naruto's determination later on,but later on I felt pity for Hinata who had been there for Naruto since start"

Pairing wars are only stupid to people who didn't care about them. People who only read the manga for relationships like to debate and get involved in the love life of these fictional characters, so to them it is not stupid, but the manga is over and most of the pairings that were decided are done.
