So apparently, I just got a Samsung Galaxy S3 yesterday. It's model number is SPH-L710. I was going to download images for my profile pic. But for some reason, they all fail to no end.

I went to File Explorer and noticed how I couldn't move anything to other folders. I also noticed how the USB storage has "sdcard0" for its name. So I went to settings and Factory Reset. The phone restarted and it still doesn't work. Then I go to Recovery Mode and format its memory.

After that, I go back to main menu and reboot the system. Then all the phone does now is have the Samsung screen on. Just to make story short.

Is there anyone who experienced this before or knows anything about this problem? Any advice or thoughts will be appreciated.

That phone is softbricked now... You need to flash it now.

Or first see if there is reset option in recovery mode, it'll be better if there is one.

I'm looking at what you mean. Yes, its talking about the same problem I'm having. Right now, I made the phone stay in Recovery Mode before doing anything else.

You got softbrick, Most easy way to get rid of it is download a A Stock ROM for your s3 and follow the instructions (they'll be presented from where you'll download the stock ROM). I did it too when I tried to root my phone and it got bricked XD.

Okay then, look for any option like factory reset or something... Not all recoveries have it but you'll be lucky if you have that.

If not, download stock ROM for your device and flash it.

PM me if you want more help :)

So you have a similar answer as well. I'll definitely try this option. I barely know what softbricking is until now. Let alone Stock ROM. Lol

Much thanks for this. :)

Finally got the damn thing fixed. Zzz
No problem, good luck! Lol It's not actually all that hard if you follow that. Although when mine was not making it past the Samsung screen I just picked the boot box and it was all fixed. :p
That's pretty good for you. It had to take quite a while for me. But it finally got fixed.
You should've just bought an S4 or an S5. S3 is weak and outdated.
Nah, I was going for something more cost effective.
