The question was asked how do you get over a girl. He stated he hasn't had to get over a girl but he assumes it is probably the same as getting over a guy. That would be the normal thing to say in his position in real life as well.

Yes they probably do. Unlike Europe or first world countries, America is very large is a high population. And we are also on a different side of the earth. We tend not to think about other countries as much. Maybe Canada and Mexico but the rest are thousands of miles away.
