Doesn’t Blackbeard look a lot like Usopp? More so than Yassopp for sure…
His body proportions are very similar to Usopp’s when he was fat.
Usopp’s jaw line (in original design of usopp) and his cheek bones (while fat) are very similar to Blackbeards
His very curly long black hair
Blackbeards nose is similar, just like usopp’s mom’s
Usopp has grown a thick goatee, not some thin scruffy facial hair that Yassopp is plagued with…
Blackbeard has more in common with Usopp than just looks though.
Usopp has already rebelled against his captain, quit the crew, and stuck up for what he believed in. Similar to Blackbeard killing thatch and leaving Whitebeard.
When overpowered against an opponent he relies heavily on his crewmembers, instead of facing the opponent and becoming a better fighter.
Sogekings song said he was born on sniper island. He could have said anything, like he came from a long line of snipers (link to Yassopp) or anything.. he chose to say he came from an island. Family ties were not made in the song.
What other interesting similarities can you guys come up with regarding Usopp and Blackbeard's behavior/personality?

There are many shapes and sizes of fat. Especially in manga. Do I really have to post how one fat person's proportions aren't similar to another? Come on... I thought better of you

No, it wouldn't make them related. Green hair is dyed not bred. Even if it is bred in the OPW, that is just one characteristic that is similar between those people. I listed several. And when you combine all the probabilities of each of those individual characteristics, it is statistically improbable for Usopp not to be related to Blackbeard
I didn't mean to include Yassopp in the song, but I was at least expecting a gentle nudge toward his lineage because everyone thinks that he inherited his father's sniping skill. But if he just came from a sniper island, then that could imply that his skill is his own. He worked it up to what it is. There is no sniper lineage, just a kingdom of snipers.

Why do you think Usopp is a liar? In my opinion its because at the very core of his life, there is a huge one. And growing up with a lie so big as this... of course he would be one.
Also, with his luggage while boarding the straw hats ship-- its one huge bag. You can tell a lot about someone from their baggage. This image is probably a metaphor.
I mean who knows, Black Beard could be his uncle. Teach and Yasopp are/were both crew members of Yonko, & if he were related to Yasopp he could get close enough to Shanks under the pretense of meeting his brother Yasopp and attempting to assassinate Shanks to make a Yonko position available before Whitebeard died and left his spot vacant.
I mean who knows, Black Beard could be his uncle. Now this is a theory I can get behind. It makes a lot more sense. Or, Teach could be the brother of Usopp's mom. What if Teach poisoned his own sister or something to make her ill, then used that as pretense to visit Yasopp, feigning concern just to get close to Shanks.

You've got to be kidding me, seriously? Seriously? Putting aside these extremely subjective interpreted 'arguments' of yours that are practically a joke, what do you think OP is? A soap opera? Yassop IS Usopp's father.
I mean noses? Hair? Kaku must be his half-brother and Arlong his fishman uncle with that saw-nose and black hair. Blackbeard has a crooked nose, but apparently just being long is enough to consider him being Usopp's father as after all weird noses are extremely rare in the OP world....
And a goatee no less! I didn't know goatees appeared on itself? And me thinking it's just the result of shaving off the rest of your facial hair. And this absolutely is somehow relevant. And Blackbeard and his mother have both long noses likewise! Are you saying they committed incest? Them clearly being brother and sister and all?
And no doubt Blackbeard waiting for decades to strike on the ideal moment, a born backstabber, is so much like Usopp who left the Strawhats because of his emotional attachment to the ship they received from Usopp's dear friend. I'm certain Usopp tried to twist Chopper's neck in the process, just like how Blackbeard killed Tatch.
And Usopp, who is more inclined to run as far away as possible when a strong opponent appears is so much like Blackbeard, who freaking fought with Whitebeard, Shanks and Ace =/
And of course the SONG? The song somehow must be for some ridiculously far-fetched biased and completely incomprehensible reasons somehow relevant to all of this?
Of course this all clearly proves that Nami is Ussopp's biological sister. They are both from East Blue, both joined the Strawhats and both left the Strawhats for a while because of personal reasons and then returned in a very emotional way.
Seriously what the bloody hell ._. this is just plainly ridiculous. Even abusing scenes from the series to back up non-sensical theories has a limit. You're screwing a character by defiling his deeply rooted relationship with his mother and his admiration for his father for no reason whatsoever.

The suggestion that Blackbeard is related to Usopp is a statement that has no true evidence, and is not the main point of this post.
The points I have about the physical similarities between Blackbeard and Usopp are just observations that sparked my interest in their possible relation. They are by no means evidence.
The points I have made about the similarities in character of the two are what I have been trying to come up with by looking through the manga again. These are also subjective and biased because I am searching for them.
This post's main objective is to gather help from you people to gather similarities between the two ~ so that you as a collective can come up with your own theories about the two as you please.
Just like Stark has started doing, except I'd appreciate it if they would be made into new threads, and not posted here. I want this thread to be just about gathering similarities.
Also, saying that Brook is white because he is Austrian is like saying All Africans are Black. Totally wrong. Nationality =/= Race.
