Not exactly, but for most normal people, yeah. Unless they can regenerate themselves or blitz him.

I can accept that but the thread point still stand. They die after Hidan's blood ritual end but because they have rinnegan, they are very lucky.
Lets say if anything has it's own logic and can be explained.
Every jutsu has to be connected some how to the location. Like the chakra rod. This ultimate jutsu i think it should be connected to the host and the target. Or at least blood was the lord to track down the target. Either scenario will be noticed by rinnegan user as their eyes can see through invisible barrier, i think it can be prevented.
In theory you are right but Hidan would have lost to Asuma had it not been for Kakuzu. And with knowledge of hs technique it's easy as hell to defeat him. he has at most above average taijutsu skills, and that's about it.
Without Kakuzu to replace his body parts, he's fairly weak.

Too bad his technique wouldn't work against Sakura or Tsunade. . . .![]()
By the time he realized that he'd literally need to severe his head in order to take one of them down, with their intelligence, it'd be far too late. Not to mention I wouldn't see a problem w/ Tsunade or Sakura healing from a skull stab, even if it hit the brain; those seals seem to be able to restore the individual to their pinnacle health so long as chakra exists and they are alive. It does so rather quickly as well, negating the powers of Hidan.
