My best answer is that she ignored Sakura or underestimated her since she lacked rikudo chakra. Although for all intensive purposes Kaguya could have just changed dimensions. The acid deminsion would have been nice or the other dimensions we didn't see. Either way Kishi had to shoehorn Sakura into the fight so he chose that; Kishi often sheets on some character to "fix" his mistakes, be that development or not.

For example, Tenten character was sheet'd on for Sakura's character, as tenten wanted to be like Tsunade yet we never saw anything remotely like that in the manga, meanwhile Sakura got that perk.

Neji died to be NH's "cupid" yet was hardly shown in the movie (some type of cupid).

Kaguya got punched in the head because Sakura had to be relevant with the finale. Why because it was team 7's last mission and Sakura was/is a member.

Neji? Didn't he died after the fight againts Kidomaru in Part 1? Or that background character who was with Team Guy was Neji? He did so nothing in Part 2 I didn't recognised him.
