If i were you i would go back and reread the manga again starting from the episode were both met hagoromo to their last fight but dont just read try and comprehend as well that would clarify you.

Sasuke wanted to kill Naruto and went all out.Naruto wanted to bring Sasuke back and gathered up NE so much so that Kurama labelled it as "too much" and even he went all out.Sasuke lost in his ideas and tied the fight.

Sasuke, Madara, and Obito was fighting the system that made them that way. Naruto is protecting and representing the system that they want to destroy. So Sasuke never wanted to kill Naruto for Naruto. He only wanted to kill Naruto for the system he is protecting and representing. Seeing that Naruto refuse to give up and sort of promise of making the system better, he decided to give up.

To be honest you are right in that area and that was where kishi really got a lot of fans confused.But if you are actually understood what kishi did in that vote1 fight you will appreciate kishi's way of thinking.That same fight was a tie cos naruto failed in his word(i will definitely bring you back to konoha)and sasuke also failed too(you can't put a scratch on my forehead protector).

Let that sink in, with what hagoromo told them about passing it through time, naruto and sause both taught them but honestly together, nothing would have gotten in there way? He was about to enter his kyuubi mode again until Sasuke neutralised it and it wouldnt have made much of a difference had he been in full chakra as Naruto relied on the Kyuubi a lot at that time and Sasuke could neutralise it

Again,plot should have made Naruto win in a similar manner with Sasuke at his feet.IT didnt happen which brings me back to my point that they are equal.Had Sasuke not used the Bijuus Kishi would have made him rely more on his Rinnegan abilites which were frankly underwhelming and still equalled them out

Naruto > Sasuke VOTE1, but Sasuke took the pill and stalemated V1 cloak Naruto. I am 100% on this, Naruto/Sasuke would have both been on the ground at the end of the fight if Naruto did not aim for the headband.

Who knows what happened if Naruto would accepted his chakra instead of reject her .

Sasuke can't/couldn't enter in his subconscious instantly and neutralize Kyuubi's chakra.

I don't see how other paths would'be usefull for Sasuke.

I literally argued for over 4 pages with you on this topic in the VS section where I said why Sasuke used the word "now" and why he pointed out such a well known fact of Naruto having other TB chakra in the middle of battle.

Still not disproved this point.

Naruto had bijuus chakra but not used her against Sasuke. Why ? He asked for their chakra everytime when he used her for actual jutsu (Rasengan, FRS etc)
