Hashirama approaches the field with a smile. Youth. Always a wonderful thing to behold. Shame he had to obliterate that youth and beat the crap out of him. But, hey! No pain, no gain right?

But before the youth could answer, Hashirama threw 5 shuriken with his left hand and 5 senbon with his right. There was no special aiming intended other than generally hit the youth's body.
Edward Elric was waiting at the battle ground with his common red robe with a kunai in his hand swinging it around using his right index finger just to kill some time. After some time, his opponent arrives with a smile on his face with no form of stress on him. But the problem is, no one can expect what Hokage-sama can do. Ed gave an evil gaze at him with utmost attention. When he head the word "Ready", he saw the man throwing a series of weapons with no intention of hitting any vital points on his body as he had calculated. Looking at the weapons, Ed throws the kunai which he held in his right hand through the gap between the weapons which were heading towards him and quickly channels his wind chakra into his right hand and releases a simple less powerful wind enough to knock out the weapons heading towards him. As soon as that is done and with the kunai on it's way towards Hashirama, Ed channels his raw chakra into the brain of his opponent and alters his sense of vision in order to make his eyes go blind for a while. This would leave the man temporarily vulnerable giving Ed some window to attack. Utilizing the kunai which he had previously thrown, Ed performs a series of 5 hand seals and channels his chakra into that kunai making it multiply into thousands more in split of a second which would eventually pierce through Hashirama leaving him dead.

Description: After throwing one shuriken or more against their target, the user creates up to a thousand shadow clones of the shuriken (or kunai, senbon, etc, basically any basic weapon) after performing Ram → Rat → Bird → Boar → Tiger which multiply the damage as its striking down the enemy. This is a technique that combines ninja tools with ninjutsu. Compared to normal shadow clones, clones of material objects are said to be on a far higher level. There is no need for preparations beforehand, like stocking up on shuriken, yet since the shadow clones are real and not illusions, all the shadow blades that fly around are equally lethal. This is valid for any weapon copied and it has been seen that the copied weapons will also have the tags or markings of the original, like sealing or explosive tags or sealing marks.
As his opponent throws a single kunai, Hashirama stomps the ground. With a burst of chakra and his incredible Earth mastery, a single needle of earth rises, perfectly timed and set so that it intercepts the kunai by rising directly into the ring on its hilt, stopping it mid way from Hashirama. The needle rises fast and precisely, ending up with the kunai resting on it, "hooked" by the hilt.

Descripton: This technique allows the user after claping their hands together to make a spiralling vortex of water to form around them out of nowhere in a vortex like manner. The vortex then proceeds to cascade into an wave of water that rampages towards the intended target or all around. The size and power of the technique is dictated by the amount of chakra put into the technique, varying from C-rank to B-Rank.
Edward didn't at all expect Hashirama to raise a earth spike in order to intercept a single kunai, he was surprised in the first place. But the time is not to be wasted since a water wave is coming towards him and if he gets flushed by it, he would be dead. In order to avoid that, Edward channels earth chakra into both of his hands and then slams it on the ground at the same time releasing the chakra in between Ed and his opponent, manipulating the earth to lower down by 20 meters. The water wave would fall into the pit and then fill it with water. With that done, Edward channels his lightning chakra into his left hand and swings it around in an arc while manipulating the lighting to form thousands of needles which are aimed towards his opponent. If those needles successfully hit his opponent, he would be paralyzed immediately and suffer electrical damage. In case the opponent tries to escape the lighting needles, Edward would perform a single hand seal and focus his lighting chakra into both of his hands and then slam his hands onto the ground releasing a massive amount of lighting energy beneath his opponent killing him due to the high piercing power of the lightning.

Other than being moved below ground relative to the surrounding surface the terrain is not altered, plant life and people retaining their same positions.

As Hashirama faces the incoming Lightning needle attack, he rapidly takes the staff from his back and swings it in front of him in an ample gesture. As he does this, a large blast of wind is produced, countering the needles and dispersing them, not, however, continuing on towards his enemy.

Description: This jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electricity from their body. It can be used as an omnidirectional attack or be channeled through weapons, the ground or other conductive mediums. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead it has great numbing and paralyzing effects. To channel Nagashi through a medium, the user needs to focus the technique into one of his hands which will then be put in contact with the medium and can only choose to either do a widespread attack throughout his whole body or to channel it into something; he cannot achieve both usages at the same time. Despite not having much destructive or damaging properties, Nagashi can be used to destroy low rank earthen and wooden structures and even negate chakra on the ground to stop high ranked earth and wood techniques. It has also been noted that Lightning Specialists that have mastered Lightning to the highest degree can resist total paralyzation, although they still feel the pain and numbing effects.
Note: Paralyzation lasts 1 turn if sucessful but is ineffective against bios who have a primary Lightning Specialty
With his hand on the ground, Hashirama acts quickly by following the cancellation of the lightning technique with a surge of chakra which changes the consistency of the earth in front of him, loosens it up and shapes it into a wave of sorts that rampages across the field towards his enemy. Showcasing great chakra control by channeling 2 different elements in such a fast sucession, Hashirama smirks just slightly in his own petty childish arrogance.

Isn't a B-Rank Wind supposed to cancel out when it hits a A-Rank Lightning? If it's some special ability of your weapon, I wouldn't have understood it so I will just assume that the wind technique is gone >_>Edward noticed that Hashirama seemed to have countered that lightning technique using a low leveled wind technique which explains why it got canceled when they both collided. Ed was quite happy with the outcome since he need not defend against the wind technique. With the lightning thing heading towards on via the ground, Edward tries to make the situation even more difficult for the opponent by channeling the earth chakra beneath the opponent and manipulate it in such a way that the earth beneath Hashirama would shake vigorously making him go off balance, giving the lightning technique to finish off it's main purpose. But Edward continuous his turn by performing a series of 3 hand seals and then slams his hands on the ground while focusing very high amount of chakra besides Hashirama (from Mid to Long) and with utmost chakra force, raises the earth on both sides of him in form of giant slabs which would then close in towards Hashirama. If Hashirama wouldn't be able to escape this, he would be squashed like a tomato with the blood oozing out.

This is one the most strongest Earth based techniques, standing as a testament to both this ability's destructive potential and its difficulty. However, because of its size and power, it can only be used a limited amount of times, requires much chakra and can only be used at least mid range from the user.

Despite not being a harmful technique, it was aimed at disrupting Hashirama's balance. He loosened his stance and relaxed his body, adjusting rapidly to the moving terrain and maintaining control over his body and its position. To the observer, however, it was if he was drunk or even worse, had fallen prey to the technique.

A large dome of wood rises and covers him, protecting him from the technique. The dome is more than enough to endure the technique but Hashirama makes sure he uses it only in the last split second. This means that his opponent is unaware that he survived the technique. The dust and debris as well as the massive scale of Mountain Smash would completely obscure Hashirama's move and the real outcome of the technique. A side effect of its massive scale and power.

It can defend the user from any S-Rank attack following elemental weaknesses and strengths and from any Bijuu attack.

Description: Using this jutsu, a person can hide underground until they're ready to attack an opponent by merging with the ground itself. The disadvantage with this technique is that merging with the ground is rather slow and while perfomring the technique, the user is vulnerable to high ranked Earth techniques. The user isn't hidden from doujutsu or sensory ninjas and cannot travel beyond the 3 meter deep mark. Moving around in the ground is slow and the user cannot sense very well what is happening above.

Once these arrows come in contact with Hashirama, they would immediately explode creating a short ranged explosion blowing up Hashi into several pieces. Just to make sure that Hashirama won't be able to fly out of there or something, Edward once again focuses earth chakra beneath Hashi and manipulates the earth to start shaking vigorously putting off Hashi from being balanced on his legs.

Description:
This special Genjutsu is a formidable defense. Its a technique that stays dormant on the users mind until an enemy connects with it. It can only be triggered by offensive enemy eye techniques (like Sharingan ones), aggressive mind manipulation (like the Yamanaka clans) or any other aggressive technique in which the enemy manipulates the users mind (like Genjutsu). Once the users brain is attacked, this defense activates, backtracking through the link created by the enemy and stimulating his dream center to make him suffer horrible and terrifying nightmares as he loses his grasp on reality, leading to complete mental breakdown, physical pain and ultimately can make him faint. This defense is only possible through years of mental training with the Panda Elders; a training to boost ones mental strength to such a degree that if his mind is breached, his chakra attacks whatever is breaching it to defend himself.
Note: This technique is released automatically with little control from the user
Note2: The moment its activated it releases a massive burst of chakra in the users mind that disrupts its flow and dispels any A-rank and below genjutsu that might have been affecting him

Hashirama in reality, takes his Staff and extends it grabbing one end of it with his right hand and keeping it somewhat tilted down but mostly behind him, with his left hand in a ready stance before him. Spinning, from right to left, he focuses chakra into the staff. At the apex of the rotation, from the staff, a large blast of water is shot. The blast is a massive stream of water that takes the form of a singular "bolt" of water, 5 meters across and with great density. Hashirama stops his fluid and fast movement, with his right hand, holding the staff from one end, in his left side, his legs facing fowards but his torso turned around. He rapidly faces the correct way and takes the ready stance once more as he watches his attack push back his opponent with massive damage, hopefully, putting him out of commission.

Once the users brain is attacked, this defense activates, backtracking through the link created by the enemy and stimulating his dream center to make him suffer horrible and terrifying nightmares as he loses his grasp on reality, leading to complete mental breakdown, physical pain and ultimately can make him faint. This defense is only possible through years of mental training with the Panda Elders; a training to boost ones mental strength to such a degree that if his mind is breached, his chakra attacks whatever is breaching it to defend himself.

Hashirama in reality, takes his Staff and extends it grabbing one end of it with his right hand and keeping it somewhat tilted down but mostly behind him, with his left hand in a ready stance before him. Spinning, from right to left, he focuses chakra into the staff. At the apex of the rotation, from the staff, a large blast of water is shot. The blast is a massive stream of water that takes the form of a singular "bolt" of water, 5 meters across and with great density. Hashirama stops his fluid and fast movement, with his right hand, holding the staff from one end, in his left side, his legs facing fowards but his torso turned around. He rapidly faces the correct way and takes the ready stance once more as he watches his attack push back his opponent with massive damage, hopefully, putting him out of commission.

Edward suddenly saw himself within fear and anguish. His worst nightmare started to appear before his eyes and his total reaction changed. He widened the gaze of his eyes and started suffering fear to such an extent that he saw Hashirama himself turning into a demon of sorts. Edward somehow managed to bring together his left over power within his mind to understand why this sort of fear entered his mind? What was the main reason for this? Edward never faced this type of fear in his life but he thought for a while to realize that this type of fear is impossible in realty. Ed realized that this was only possible since his mind is actually being controlled by some source, so this has to be a Genjutsu. Basing on that concept, Edward quickly does a single hand seal so as not to fall slave to the Genjutsu and surges his chakra vigorously throughout his entire body causing the foreign chakra to be pushed outside into the world from within. This helped Edward snap himself back into realty getting visual of Hashirama.

Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.
Just as soon as he snapped out of the Genjutsu, Edward saw a big blast of water heading towards him at a very fast rate flooding the entire place in front of him. The time to counter it was very low so Edward had to slam his hands on the ground and focus chakra into the place in front of him and then manipulate that place to rise up a section of earth just about enough to stop the incoming water blast. The earth section would crumble as soon as it gets hit giving a clear line of vision of Hashirama once again.

Description: The user slams his hands on the ground and lowers or raises the ground in the surrounding area at high speeds, allowing them to create giant holes in the ground or avoid attacks. The size of the affected area as well as the depths that it is lowered to is up to the user and rasing earth can be done up to 20 meters tall creating a small cliff or they can create trenches that can be as deep as 20 meters. Other than being moved below ground relative to the surrounding surface the terrain is not altered, plant life and people retaining their same positions.
Taking advantage of his hands already being on the ground, Edward once again lifts those hands a bit in the air and slams them once again on the ground but instead of focusing the chakra in the ground, focuses it in the air right above Hashirama and summons it creating a lid to form which then drops on Hashi. The lid would be carved inwards so it would word just like a prison instead of flattening Hashirama.

Description: After doing the Snake handseal and slamming his hands on the ground, he user creates a portal above the target, high in the sky from which a giant, boar-shaped, earthen lid drops and falls on the target, trapping it underneath. The lid can be hollow or solid, depending on if the user wants to deal damage to the enemy or not. Because of its size, to safely used, the lid has to be created at least mid range from the user otherwise he will also be caught inside. The biggest lid can dwarf a boss summon like Nagato's Dog or Gamabunta.
Look at the Genjutsu I used. I trapped you in a dream. This means that your body and your mind become disconnected. While you experience all these things, you have no way to move your body. Thus, no handseal for Kai can you make. Dream = sleep like state. Never forget it.
As the large dropping lid is summoned above Hashirama, he doesn't despair. He doesn't even flinch as he smiles. He focuses chakra into his body and raises his right arm above his head. As the large (I assume its solid and not hollow as you said it would flatten me out) solid lid hits his hand, the ground all around him crushes down on its weight. But Hashirama stays unaffected and with a large smirk on his face. He caught the lid mid air with his chakra, a result of his chakra enhanced strength. He then flicks it towards his opponent as if it was a frisbee. However, because of its weight and the large size vs hashirama's comparative smaller size, the lid rapidly starts thumbling across the field as it makes it way, in the midst of dust and rubble, towards his opponent.

As the gigantic lid is about to crash on his opponent, Hashirama does a blazing one handseal and it suddenly bursts into sticky mud. The mud, due to the momentum of the large lid, creates a large wave of mud that covers the opponent and the surrounding area, taking him out of his feet and preventing him from moving as he gets trapped in a tar-like substance.

The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.

The tree would be scorching hot and Hashirama, without any sort of escape route, will be left for dead as he shouts out loud while being burnt by a blaze more sinister than that of the ordinary fire molded by chakra. Within a few moments, there would be nothing but ashes around the entire place (except for Edward's 5 m radius stuff of course).

Distracted as he was, Hashirama made a mistake. Perhaps out of boredom? Still, it was clear that even against a scrub he couldn't actually slack. Being trapped inside that large earthen dome was proof of that. As heat started to be felt from beneath him, he was quick to act and simply focused chakra through the staff in his hand and used it to channel it through his skin. As he did, he imbued his body with the strength of earth but empowered to S-Rank. As the fire raged upwards, he was undamaged and unaffected. The dome, however, broke and shattered all around as a result of the technique.

Description: After performing the Snake hand seal the user will channel their chakra throughout their entire body, which then hardens their skin to a steel-like quality. This increases their defensive power to the utmost limits. The user’s skin also becomes much darker, an almost black colour. The destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great, all purpose technique. But this technique when activated leaves the user vulnerable to lightning based techniques.
Note: Kakuzu bios can use this technique without the need for handseals
With a simple handseal, Hashirama focuses his chakra and uses it to create 9 sharp spikes of Dragon Glass to propel themselves from the ground, upwards, beneath his enemy, aiming to cut him in pieces. The Dragon Glass happens fast and with incredible precision, triggered right after Hashirama had endured the enemy's last technique. Considering the debris, the shattered earth around and the fact that the fire technique happened at the eyes of his enemy, his technique would be stealthy and would caught him completely off guard. The time frame to counter would be minute. How wouldn't it be? His enemy didn't even know he was alive. How could he, if he couldn't see him?

Description:
Through the Tales of the Black Anvil, one can create various constructs of Dragon Glass from his own body, other Dragon Glass sources or from earthen sources by doing one simple handseal (Snake if used from an existing source). These can be anything from walls, pillars, plateaus, blades, spikes, etc. and can be blunt or sharp, virtually pitch black or translucent in a dark green hue. The only limit is the users imagination and his circumstances. The constructs are, however, lifeless and simplistic but can exist without the users chakra to sustain them. This is highly useful to create hand held weapons or even defensive walls or other structures which, upon being created, will not simply disappear with the end of the technique.
From the dust and debris, Hashirama appears, walking in a leasurely pace, unharmed and unaffected.
The tree started to emerge and Edward looked simply at the sight. But he knew that something wrong as he hadn't heard any sort of commotion growing inside it. The next he knew was that the dome like structure started to break up into pieces. Ed's doubts were soon verified that the his attack failed and the structure was falling apart. At that moment, Ed swiftly performs just a single hand seal and focuses his raw chakra above Hashirama. He then molds it into that of arrows while adding the special ability to make them explode on contact. He makes up 15 of these arrows and makes them shower on the place Hashirama is present. The arrows would not only directly fall on him, it will also cover the places around him. Due to the debris just starting to fall, Hashirama himself would not be able to see Edward clearly and would not be able to see even the arrows falling straight on him. Because of this, the arrows would touch the debris and Hashirama causing them to explode all over the place. Fortunately, Edward is out of this explosive range.
( Ninjutsu: Tatsu Kaze ) Dragon dive

Description: The user performs the tiger handseal and starts by concentrating their raw chakra into the air above the opponent. After this, they then use this chakra to form several golden arrows about ten meters above the target that shower upon the ground at the user's command. They will first pierce through the opponent and then finally explode in a small radius upon the area it dropped on This jutsu can't be performed short range of the user so as not to damage themselves.

But that wasn't the end of Edward's move. He knew how powerful and skillful Hashirama was and he would escape the technique at all costs. In case Hashirama tries out something funny, Edward would simply concentrate his chakra around Hashirama (including the debris) in such a way that numerous orbs are created which then give out a screeching sound, loud enough to distract a person off his balance. Hashirama would suffer from this effect and would become prey to the explosion.

Description:
The user start by manipulating his Wind based chakra into the area surrounding the opponent (short range). By manipulating it with great precision, the user will form extremely small but dense shards of wind that vibrate at an extreme speed. These shards are about the size of an average ring and are about 30 in number, they can only be seen by a white glance it gives off. They vibrate at a stationary point and cause an eerie and somewhat deafening
screech, due to the friction caused against the air itself. This causes the opponent to be distracted, and allow the user ample moments to attack.

Time frame. From your perspective, you would not know that I had defended from the attack. You could not see me and your techniques happened as you intended them to. Until I do my DG tech, you shouldn't know I am alive and well considering you can't see me. I'll reply as if yuor move is correct though.
Hashirama raised his hand. A shield of blue chakra formed above him as the massive attack was unleashed towards him. The arrows collide with the shield and both cancel eachother out.

Description:
Using basic chakra shape manipulation, the user coats his palm with pure chakra and expands it forming a thin circular construct in front of it that can be directed and used to defend against an offensive jutsu. The construct is light blue in color but remains quite transparent. Once per battle the user can make a construct strong enough to defend against 1 S-Rank jutsu but, if so, he can't use it again for the rest of the match. This chakra construct is weaker than Elemental Jutsu that require advanced Shape and Nature Manipulation but are as strong as normal, unfocused Elemental Jutsus.

But Hashirama couldn't continue with a follow up attack. A screeching sound made him clinched his teeth and shiver. It was overwhelming and swept hiim off his feet mentally. The ninja had some tricks. Luckily, Hashirama could do his defense from the former technique before this one was triggered, otherwise, it wouldn't be pretty. Still...
As the sound subsides, Hashirama is still in the middle of large boulders and debris. Its not the best place to fight. Sure, his enemy can't pinpoint his position but he is also hindered in the same way. It was time to clear the area. A simple handseal and an explosion of water of catastrophic proportions rages outwards in all directions. It leaves the battle field transformed into a deep lake, such is the effect. Using Chakra, Hashirama travels upwards and emerges from the water, standing on its surface by focusing chakra on his feet. His enemy might survive but it would be more likely that he would suffer greate damage even if he did.

Description:
The user will do 3 hand seals (Tiger+Ram+Horse) while focusing and molding a large amount of chakra into his core. As he releases this massive amount of chakra in an omnidirectional burst, thick gluey water (like that of (Suiton: Mizuame Nababara) - Water Style: Starch Syrup Capture Field) oozes from his pores in copious amounts and at great speed. If at first the water seems to quickly ooze from the user, it quickly begins to burst into a gigantic 20 meter high explosion of water that reaches long range in under 2 seconds. However, this technique carries enormous risks. Once triggered the user can't stop or control the technique. The amount of water that is produced is so high that the battle field will be left with a 30 meter deep layer of water in only a few seconds. Once the water is completely created, it loses its sticky properties and reverts back to normal water. However, this water will stay in play until the ending of the match. The user however, will be left exhausted and severely damaged from the overuse of his chakra.

The arrows seem to have exploded and everything seemed to have gone according to the plan. That was the thought Edward had when suddenly he could see bluish liquid coming out from the debris area. It seemed to gush out quickly, so Edward assumed that it would be a really powerful technique considering his opponent's variety of techniques and skills. Reacting quickly to it, Edward slams his hands onto the ground and channels chakra around himself in a 5 meters radius and manipulates the earth in such a way the chakra coated ground suddenly rose to take Edward up in the air of about 50 meters. In that time, the water would collide with the elevated earth and cancel out as the earth section absorbs the water but leave Edward unharmed. But due to the heavy force, Edward starts to lose control over the earth section and beings to slowly fall back to the ground.

Description: This technique grants the user the ability to freely lower or raise the terrain within a specific area surrounding them, in a similar manner to its parent technique, albeit on a much larger scale. The user will slam his hands on the ground which he can then lower or raise the ground up to 100 meters in a large section. The rise will be fast enough to pin enemies to the ground, restricting their movements as they struggle to get up and the drop will be fast enough to leave almost all enemies without a footing (albeit not airborne). Because of the large chakra needed to alter such a large area of the terrain, the user will be able to use it only a limited number of times.
Note: Can only be used twice.
While falling back onto the ground, Edward quickly removes of his glove in a swift moment and channels out dark chakra from one of the diamonds which then immediately enter the ground where it stays near Hashirama. However, Hashirama wouldn't be aware of this process of dark release as it was a swift one and couldn't be seen or sensed by a normal person. Edward then claps his hands together and makes the dark chakra erupt underneath Hashirama without any prior warning making Hashi fall victim to the internal damage caused by this technique. If not evaded properly, he would be hemorrhaging. Once he does that, Ed focuses chakra into his legs and lands on a falling rubble so as to decrease the overall damage when he lands on the ground. At the last moment when the rubble is about to touch the ground, Ed jumps of the rubble guiding himself to safety.
(Meiton: Mei Heki Chika) - Dark Release: Dark Burst Underground
