Hey guys. I've never seen a similar thread here so I thought I'd address the character aspect of an individual and how strongly it influences one's overall power/ability.
In correlation to real life, can we all agree that we always excel at something when we're in a good mood, optimistic mindset, humble, open to interpretations and complications, not underestimating other individual or circumstances that present a threat or oppose you etc.? Can we agree that you feel good when you socialize and feel good around other people? When you feel you're needed, when others expect your opinion or respect and vice versa?
All of the above gives a complete sense of our self, giving as confidence and thus boost in our personas, which incidentally boosts our overall performance at whatever we're trying to progress or excel.
Naruto is the perfect example of all that. Sasuke is the perfect example of why arrogance and self-absorption can take you only so far and make you lose sight of what's important. Trying to do everything alone, neglecting others and believing too much in your own abilities can lead you to a downfall.
We can counter hatred with simple energy and good feelings. It'll make us more powerful and able. Hashirama was another example of that, although he wasn't as sociable as Naruto was. Naruto countered Kurama's full hatred with his optimistic and happy attitude. It made him powerful and rendered Kurama almost useless.
Even though he didn't have talent in the beginning, his attitude changed everything. The ability to believe in yourself and able to express positive feelings and energy can certainly give you what you're after.
Anyway, just wanted to say this. Discuss if needed.
