You think Luffy will go Full Busoshoku Haki (like Vergo) in the future (possibly vs. Doflamingo)

I always wondered if a devil fruit eater could eat more than one devil fruits and obtain that power. Can they?

well normally a human(or any devil fruit user)cannot eat more than 1 devil fruit, but BB did something thatt allowed him to use the power of both white beard's devil fruit and his .

Or he will learn Life return to which he will use to reshape his body using his blood as hydraulics and become a SUPPAAAAA rubber mech pump that fires his arms like rockets.
Cause thats what I would do
Call it Mecha Luffy He just transforms into a buffer more robitic luffy Turns his arms into cannons and his fists into slugs His shoulders into spikes and his chest into armor.
Go optimus prime in this piece

Or he could find a better use for Kings haki.

Or he could become a storm with Steam and winds and fires.

Or he could do a modified form of Gear three and call it Magnum mode Where he compresses his arms and goes gear 3 and 2 at the same time and right on impact he re-enlarges his blows giving them extra mass + the speed where he just looks like pop-eye with giant forearms

Or full body redhawk

or he could learn to decapitate people with punches

Or he could harden the air around his body with koka and use it as a projection when he punches so he punches twice

Or he could harden his sweat and turn it into bullets

Or he could learn hassoken and create earthquakes

Or he learn that thing that Lucci (7th style) did and just have it constantly flowing through him so if you touched him it just blasted you back

EDIT
Or all of these things at once

Mecha Magnum King Storm Double Bullet Vibrating flaming Destruction mode Mega Luffy.

No, then many people are gonna make black jokes.

He's fine the way he is with that haki .. could be stronger though.

However I would love to see him get another fruit ability like BB, but Luffy would be the last person to actually figure it out XD

Which makes me sad :(

Hell Gom Gom no fruit seems like the most valuable than all so far imo.

Its like he has at least 3 fruit abilities in one.

Exactly. That's why I've always wondered that. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I don't see how fullbody haki would make him stronger offensively

When rayliegh was training luffy he said armament haki was like invisible armor. And we have never seen any of His body parts blackened by the haki, even though we have seen him use it.

So once luffy becomes a master of it, he wouldn't be all black like that. (That also means that vergo wasn't as good at it as people think he was)

the black haki is just intermediary.

Not true. Rayleigh said think of CoA as putting invisible armor on, which is true. It's just that now he have a visual representation (body parts getting blackened) of it, so we know who's using CoA and who's just really defensive/strong.

You have no proof to back up your statement. Oda has been putting in bits of the kings haki and observation haki since the very begining of the manga (shanks when he lost his arm, ace in grey terminal, luffy vs the cow, enel, etc).

And the sudden appearance of the blackened skin ~ just to show the reader when a character is using armament haki?

I'd like to think differently than you. that the sudden appearance of the haki is due to inexperience. Besides, the lack of evidence does not help either of us, so its just a difference of opinion as of right now.

^Proof. Yes, Oda had the concept of haki in mind from the earlier part of the story, I'm not denying that. If CoA was invisible, how would the readers even be able to differentiate between someone who has incredible defense/strength and a CoA user. Literally if it was invisible, the only way we'd fully know if someone was using CoA, if they manged to hurt a logia user without exploiting their elemental weakness. How is using CoA (blackened) being inexperienced? Does that mean Garp was inexperienced here?:

The blackening isn't because of inexperience, by that logic Garp is an inexperienced haki user which is clearly not the case. It's just Oda's way of giving a visual representation of it, instead of having someone else state that they're using it like in the past. It makes sense too, since we're in the New World now and haki is essential so Oda had to figure out a way to show that an individual is using CoA since it's common in the NW.

The reader would be able to know when a character is using haki by the fact that (s)he is able to land a blow against a logia user or the fact that the character mentioned haki during the fight-- which luffy has done numerous times in recent battles. There are many ways of portraying a character's use of armament haki. The character could state it as (s)he would a move: "Bushido Haki- Gomo Gomo no pistol". ~sorta like luffy stating gear second/third
Or the character could state after sustaining damage : "Damn, my haki wasn't strong enough to fully block that blow"

For Garp, maybe he was not quite master lvl at the time; then again maybe youre right. But for Oda to continue for another 6+years, i'd hope that the power scale would get bigger to the point where the use of haki is implied, and not shaded in. That moment with Garp was at Chinjo's best, not Garps best. So it still is possible for him to have attained mastery after that.

I would rather like his next power up being something we have not seen about the COC.
