Woul Killing Mads the First Time Around Have Ended Ashura/Indra Battle?

Serious Question:

If Hashirama had killed Madara the first time around, would it have ended the conflict between Indra and Ashura?
I'm asking bc Madara was at peace with dying by Hashirama's hand. There was a love and respect there that enabled him to die in peace bc it was Hashirama killing him.

Madara had accepted defeat in battle (just like Sasuke eventually did in the area of ideology) and was at peace with it. What drove him into despair and lead him to plan the IT was the stuff that happened after the alliance.
I personally think it would have ended the conflict. Indra loved his family but when his dad shat on his approach to protecting his loved ones, the love turned into resentment and the resentment to hate.

But when he reincarnated in Madara and Madara and Hashi connected, Ashura and Indra regained their sense of brotherly love for a brief period. Then, the reality of war and violence disrupted that brother bond once again with the confrontation at the river. Then after battling for years, and Hashi defeated Madara, the brotherly bond, the love and respect that he felt for Hashi--the feelings that were shrouded hate-- rose to the surface and enabled him to accept defeat (at least that's how it seems to me). If he had died then and there, I believe the conflict would've ended.

Thoughts?

No. :| "Indra" would just wait for "Ashura" to die and the chakra would find new hosts.

I think so. I've heard that this wouldn't end the cycle but is that so? I mean Sasuke had no problem with dying and handing his Rinnegan to Kakashi. He also said, that this would end the cycle. So yeah.

No. BZ would have waited until the other Indra reincarnation came and manipulate him as well.

I wish he would of handed his Rinnegan to Kakashi.
Now Kakashi can't rock his headband slanted anymore or use his sexy ass Susano'o.

And doesn't that eye freak Sakura or Sarada out? Or will Sasuke always cover it up?

But isn't the fact that they had this eternal battle what caused Indra and Ashur'a spirits to keep reincarnating themselves in others? They couldn't rest in peace until they reached a mutual understanding with oneanother....

By your reasoning, Indra and Ashura will reincarnate themselves after Naruto and Sasuke die....

I think it was the conflict that kept them transmigraitng.

I just re-read chapter 681 where BZ explained his role in all of this.

The conflict between Indra and Ashura had nothing to do with BZ> He didn't cause it. The emnity between the brothers and later the Uchiha and Senju was caused by the conflict over who would be Hago's heir. What BZ did was MANIPULATE the hate......

...what BZ did was change the tablet to tell the Uchiha that IT would save the Uchiha....he said he tried to use BOTH clans to awaken the rinnegan so whoever awaken the rinnegan would be able to initiate IT....

....so had the hate between Indra and Ashura not existed, there would've been nothing for BZ to manipulate...

That's why I'm saying, at that moment, Madara had no longer hated Hashi and was at peace with him.....so BZ wouldn't have been able to manipulate him to go through with the plan to initiate IT

BZ would've probably tried to use someone else to awaken the rinnegan, but whether it would've been a reincarnation of Indra and Ashura is unlikely, IMO, bc their souls would've been laid to rest from having made peace with eachother.

Well, if what you say it's true, the conflict could start again any time, which I doubt it would be a nice way to end the story, lol....

I think he's referring to the Databook.

BZ apparently was following Kaguya's plan to manipulate Indra and his ancestors. I guess taking advantage of the whole situation to get them to search for more power (The Rinnegan).

Not sure how Kaguya even knew though unless she can keeps tabs on the world despite being sealed.

Yeah I'm confused as well about this

But I think since Sasuke's (Indra's) ideals and philosophy were 'defeated' the cycle ended. But if Madara was simply killed the cycle would continue.

Yea....another thing that confuses me is the degree to which Indra and Ashura's chakra influenced their reincarnations. For example, lets say Hashi killed Mads and Mads was cool with it and at peace and died loving Hashi....would Indra's spirit have been like, 'nah fck that...I' stilli gunning for Ashura"....or would his spirit have also been at peace...like, is Madara/Sasuke's emotions reflective of Indra's or are they separate entities even in spirit despite being spiritually one?

I imagine the Japanese audience and ppl who are super familiar with eastern religion understands this more clearly. I could also be overthinking it, which I often do. LOL

Yea, another inconsistency....I'm going with the manga on this one which says BZ tried to use both sides....it seems Indra was the first to bite the bait and continue to conflict between both sides, but throughout the generations, after the hate had taken root, he tried ppl on both sides.....that's based on MS translation though....I don't have the Viz version for this chapter so meh, what do I know.

Ashura dying first didn't stop them when Hashirama did it, so i don't see why it would.
