If he doesn't get Byakugan, which I hope he don't, he'll probably be trained in sage mode. That makes him vastly stronger than Sharingan-less salad.

I agree. If Bolt somehow gets the Byakugan, then Salad will probably get the Sharingan. Though, he might try to keep it doujutsu less. Who knows. Since it is a short series, we can only see for the future.

I noticed for a while now. Since Naruto's kids didn't gain the Byakugan at birth, they would not accept the idea of Sasuke's kid unlocking the Sharingan. Unlike Naruto's kids unlocking a doijutsu, Sasuke's kid still have hope.

A rivalry between a man and a female is unherd of. If anything Sarada will end up Himawari's rival. She is nothing more than a pairing fodder to Bolts if we go by the manga context.

Honestly, it looks as if Kishimoto is not pairing Bolt/Salad with a rivalry. It looks as if he might get his own rival, or none at all. They don't strike me as rivals:

None of those females was an Uchiha.Besides its already a fact that Salad is more popular than Bolt in Japan which is also for the same reason
And the kids are obviously not gonna be paired up in canon anyway so what's the point in teasing

I think they will be best friends. That is what it looks like to me. Salad understands how Bolt feels due to their fathers, but I do not really see a reason for them to be rivals. Naruto/Sasuke had a reason, but Bolt/Salad have a reason to be connected.

Boruto the movie also seems to focus more on the fighting aspect too. So I'm really hoping it is not some school type crap like Blazin' predicted.
