With NarutoVerse looking like it's becoming more modern, would you like some more scientist type characters? There can be good scientists that could cure people like Lee and Shira's not being able to use ninjutsu and genjutsu impairment. As well as not so good scientists that could clone the bijuus and make "superior" versions of the bijuus, think of Mewtwo or Shadow the Hedgehog, if you don't get what I'm saying. In fact, I'd like to see Orochimaru or Kabuto be the leader of these evil scientists.

I'm sure Orochimaru hasn't just been replacing the formaldehyde in all his lab jars.

Kabuto seems like he might have changed, though, so maybe Oro will get another creepy assistant.

I would like to see some serious chakra weapons. Chakra atomic bomb. Create a new type of threat! After all, human can do more damage than the devil!

Yo, you just gave me a prediction for the future Naruto series. Sarada gets pissed at Sasuke for some reason, then she leaves home to go with Orochimaru. It would be hilarious for Sasuke to see how it feels to see someone he cares about just leave the village.

Honestly, at some point I wanted the original series to be more of a science-fantasy. I also wanted to have some in-universe explanation for the inconsistent technology levels (radios, computers, satellite dishes, but no phones?). And then there was a smartphone in The Last, out of nowhere... So maybe, in a sense of possibly explaining the sudden boom in technology, yeah, maybe I'd like to see that.

I have always been really into sci-fi, so if Naruto had more of a science/tech element mixed into ninjitsu, it would be boss IMO.

I like to think that the Narutoverse is actually not fully explored, and that, like the movie-filler Sky Country, there may have been more technically advanced countries/continents that simply hadn't yet involved themselves with the 'hidden' villages. The Naruto Verse has serious scaling issues that bring me to the conclusion that the explored continent is actually no larger than Australia.

Here's a rough timeline for those interested.

Series Start
Arms - Guns must have existed at some point. Handguns, more specifically. the Nidaime Mizukage's technique is based off a gunshot. He must have copied that from somewhere. Bows, Swords, Lances, Axes, and all sorts of ninja tools were employed, but actual guns were never shown. Blasters powered by Chakra were shown her and there. Explosives (and aptly named ones) existed by this time.

Computers - Some did exist. 8-bit mostly, as shown in the Chunin Exams.

Communications - Shinobi utilized gun-powder age means of communication. Letters and other basic methods, basically.

Biology - Science had advanced enough for stem cell research and organ transplantation.

Transportation - No cars. Kishi insisted on that point. Basically, combustion hasn't yet reached this part of the world. Even horses were a rarity, so it implies that Shinobi simply preferred to move on foot, due to ninja-related reasons (stealth, etc). On a side note, tracked vehicles did exist (these are your typical battle tanks or excavators, for those who don't know), as we saw cranes with them during the Wave Country Bridge Construction. We had boats with engines, though.

Structures - Skyscrapers existed in Hidden Rain. As did they in Hidden Sand. The former probably also utilized lift-mechanisms instead of stairs.

Electronics - Lights, locks, etc existed.

Aircrafts - Nothing of note. Not even a flying Dutchman. Wait, a flying tsuchikage.

World War Arc
Arms - No known developments.

Computers - the HQ would have been using one to manage the links, and the sensors' intel, though it was powered by the ninjas' ability, and not really fully automated..

Communications - Shinobi resorted to Ninjutsu to communicate over long distances. Courier Animals were still used. No signs of telephones. No world wide web to begin with.

Biology - No real scientific developments, apart from actual clones. Oh, and genetic engineering of said clones (Manda II).

Transportation - No developments. Maybe steel-based boats. Maybe.

Structures - Nothing's changed. Permanent shelters can be made with Mokuton, though..

Electronics - More advanced locks, though often more ninjutsu-based than electronic.

Aircrafts - A Kamikaze terrorist, sand-flight, and senjutsu flight. Still no signs of actual controlled aerodynamic flight.

The Last
Arms - Chakra Cannon. 'nuff said.

Computers - The device utilized by the Kages was a miniature computer. Ino somehow now had a smartphone. A touch-one at that. Either they took the quantum leap, or were visited by aliens. The latter was confirmed later in the movie. Wow. I can't stop laughing.

Communications - Smartphones. They don't work on the moon, but they exist. Landlines are unconfirmed, though.

Biology - Fully functional prosthetic organs are a reality. They're ahead of reality in this section. My question is, if stem cell tech was already there, and if cloning as already taking place, why didn't Naruto and Sasuke get arms from their own cells instead of Hashirama's? Perhaps technology is unevenly distributed here.

Transportation - Still no cars. Warm Holes exist, though.

Structures - Nothing's changed.

Electronics - They may have been up to par with the 20th century at this point.

Aircrafts - Still no propellers.

Chapter 700
Arms - No known developments. Possibly Nuclear. Cloud must have a nuke.

Computers - Naruto owns a MacBook. Ultrabooks exist. Computers must as well. Smartphones would have gone beyond touch at this point. I wouldn't even rule out smar****ches and Hololens during Burrito's adventure.

Communications - Smartphones, Skype and pidgeon mail. Landlines got skipped.

Biology - No new developments.

Transportation - Metropolis. Cars must have arrived.

Structures - Please tell me that wasn't a metropolis I saw behind the Ailily Hidden Leaf which itself was still buried in tree roots.

Electronics - 21st-century has arrived..

Aircrafts - We don't see any, but probably here..

And this, my friends is how inconsistent the technological advances have been. I must say, though, Orochimaru is head of our time.
