So, if you guys have been reading any of the threads with JJ Madara mentions in them, you would notice that they say he was "nerfed". Let's see if we can't save Kishi's rep with a little clarification.

BZ could have revived Kaguya a while ago. He needed a Juubi-Jin, right? So why not Obito? Why not help Obito instead of Madara? Everyone, even Kishi, admits that Madara has no weaknesses. The point is, Black Zetsu wanted to solve two problems at once:

1.) Kaguya needs to be revived through the strongest vessel possible (for obvious reasons).

2.) Just to be safe, BZ does not want the strongest, most knowlegeable shinobi on the battlefield to join the opposition.

Two birds, one stone.

BZ could've helped Obito and then used him as the vessel, but then Madara would've had to join Naruto and Sasuke (Bad news). And the fact that he was an Edo (Unlimited chakra) with a rinnegan wouldn't have helped things for Kaguya, either. BZ, like everyone else, expected Obito to just roll over and die (again; two birds, one stone). Kishi didn't nerf Madara, he simply placed BZ on Shikamaru's level, strategy-wise. He's probably smarter than Shikamaru, considering his implied age.

Obito was critical for defeating Kaguya...without his Kamui she would have Godstomped. Also pre Hagoromo Naruto and Sasuke would've been screwed.

Agreed. But that only means that BZ either made the wong choice, or simply underestimated Obito.

Allow me to give every reason why this is NOT the case.

Okay 1:If black zetsu used juubito then what would be the purpose? The shinoni allied nations would still be there, sand madara would still be there, madara would be confused and that's be pretty stupid for the follow reasons.
1Juubito did NOT have the same amount of power that Juubidara had since juubidara had the hachibi and yang kurana embedded and we know how big a monster yang kurama was alone.

2Shinobi allied nations is still active and NOT under IT therefore kaguya would be revived sure...but not with the insane chakra power up from the all the victims of IT since IT was not activated, she wouldn't be any more stronger than a juubidara pre-Shinju at best, this factor alone should debunk this OT's entire statement but there's more.

3Juubito didn't even have the rinne sharnningan...

4 like you said madara would've just helped take down kaguya, or take over her, which wouldn't make any sense as the progenitor of chakra being taken down/over by someone who isn't even on her grandson's level not to talk of her son's level or her level.

5Kaguya wanted as much chakra as possible, to bring all chakra to her, by taking over juubito that'd be horrible timing on bz part, bz would have never thought. About using juubito on these reasons alone.

I seriously think that bz just wanted everyone under IT to minimize as much interference as possible and so that, Apperently people gabe forgotten, so kaguya can have a fresh gigantic chakra supply from alll IT inhabitants. Also someone with the rinne sharnningan would be beneficial, strongest vessel or not as long as kaguya had these requirements it wouldn't matter as she'd just neg madara if he even attempted anything but in this case the vessel was madara.

The whole point of my post is to say that Madara was not nerfed. Whether or not Madara was the right choice is debatable. And as far as timing; I didn't mean that BZ would immediately revive Kaguya, I was saying that BZ could've helped Obito cast IT, then revive Kaguya, but he decided to help Madara instead because that was supposed to take care of two problems at once. Killing Obito while prepping the ideal vessel was a strategic plan. Just sayin'.
