What is the best Saga of the Naruto series?

I'll start this saying that by Sagas I mean the three main segments of the series:

1. Classic Naruto Saga (Everything before Shippuden): With the Wave Arc, Chuunin Exams, Sasuke Retrieval...

What was overral the best? By timing, characters introduced, smaller arcs inside...


And inside your favorite Saga, wich was the best Arc?

My personal favorite Saga and Arc, repectivally, were the Akatsuki Saga and the Pain Invasion Arc

To be honest, I feel in love with the first series. Sure Shippuden had it's moments, but the first one had a different ring to it. It also made characters somewhat equal. Whereas Shippuden made everyone evolve into super saiyans. I lost faith when I saw 40-50 shinobi releasing water streams to take out a single fire attack from Madara. Sure he is strong, but come on now...

Most likely my most enjoyable things of Shippuden were Naruto's search of Sasuke at the beginning and his progression as a character when learning Sage Mode, saving the village, learning Biju modes, etc etc.

My favorite arcs would be the Pain arc, Itachi pursuit arc, and the Sasuke retrieval arc. I thought they were fantastic; awesome fights, great storyline, and each had a big development in the grand scheme of things within NV.

Pein Invasion Arc was the best story and character-wise. It even ended with a sense of victory and completeness that the end of the manga failed to match.

Probably a tie between Part I and the Akatsuki saga. Both had their ups and downs. Favorite arcs would be Pain's Invasion and the Chuunin Exams.

The War-Arc was good and had a lot of amazing moments but it definitely had some of the Worst Moments in all of Naruto like the Kakashi asspull, Madara getting killed and Kaguya coming back and the Juubi being a disappointment.
